Okay so you know how for weeks we were like I can't believe He's not here [whatwacko]

Well, we just took her to the hospital early Saturday morning cause she was tired of it. She would contract for hours then it would disappear AGAIN! She was dilated 3cm for a week but nothing :( We tried everything but castro oil.

We left for the hospital at 5:15am got there at 5:30am went to triage they wanted to send her home cause her contraction were 5mins to 8 mins for the last half hour. I refussed to let her go home because she dealt with this for weeks!!! By this time it was 7am she was still 3cm they had her walk an hour then admitted her by 8am. They couldn't believe how calm she was, umm...it's prayer [praying]

So, Rachel is having STRONG contration, I'm like you gotta be like 5cm by now?! It's 11:30am call the nurse to check you :-D She was 4cm :???: They asked her if she'd like pain RX or the epidural, Rachel said no I'm good. At 11:40am her doctor broke her bag. I was crying inside cause she was enduring way more pain than I ever did! I was so PROUD of her. I SECRETLY WANTED HER TO GET SOMETHING [halo]

The nurse kept checking her hourly but nothing was happening with how strong the contractions were, her body stopped again. The nurse recommended potocin & epi to get things going! Of course Rachel said NO  By this time it's 3:45pm and she 5cm Rachel was like, "Mom this hurst so much, I can't do this!" I said Rach, I'm so PROUD OF YOU, let's do the potocin & epi it's gonna help you, your body needs help. She cried and agreed to it! By 4:10pm SHE WAS IN LALA LAND  they gave her the epi and upped potocin so by 4:50 she was at 9.5cm FAST!!!

They wanted to start her to get ready to push but she wanted to wait til' her sister got there! CRAZY HA?! I called Valorie, hurry sister is ready were gonna push. Valorie arrived they cried together said their I LOVE YOU'S [lovesign] These girls, I TELL YOU!!!

Well Finally by 5:30pm they lowered the epi so she can feel the pushing. by 5:50pm Rachel was like I gotta push [whatwacko] SHE BEGAN!!! He was out at 6:11pm [lovesmile]

She screamed when his head came out, he cried then she cried hysterical!!! WE WERE ALL CRYING BY THIS TIME!!!

She's like mom I don't know if I can do this again [sadashamed] I told her sure you can now we know what to do, EPI & POTOCIN ;)

LOL...Tara, today she's like, "Mom everyone says when you see the baby you forget about all the pain" Umm....I'll never forget that pain [whatwacko]
She did an amazing job!!! It was so cute, Lannie didn't know what to do but he hurt him to see what she was going through. His eyes would tear up and he'd kiss her on the head & tell her your doing a GREAT JOB!
He was a great coach too :-D

Donna ~ as she continues her journey in motherhood she will (hopefully!) realize that the joy of children far outweighs the pain of childbirth. :-)

While I am "new" again to C-mom's...I have to say that I LOVE birth stories, so Thanks for sharing!

I had Pit, and an Epidural for my first birth as well. The next three...all natural... went very quickly. I like to say it's because "the road was already paved" so it was a bit easier. I'm sure this may not be everyone's case, but each birth was easier for me. Just sharing to provide any peace of mind for your daughter, although I agree, that after a little awhile, when all is healed :-) the memory of childbirth pain is numbed by the shear joy of motherhood....and sleep deprivation!

What a blessing and a miracle each birth is! God is Good!!!

Congrats!
