Anyone else had an anterior placenta? I'd never heard of it before but from reading different forums, I figure that's what I have. At our 4D ultrasound, we had a hard time getting a clear picture because he was hiding behind the placenta and apparently that's why I haven't felt a lot of movement yet; the placenta is insulating his little kicks and punches from the outside. I can feel the movement inside but when I put my hand on my belly I can't feel much. Weird...

I had anterior placenta with two of my three pregnancies. It's no big deal, but yes, you will feel movement later. One thing I did find was that anterior placenta increased (for me anyway) back labour. Not sure if there's a correlation, and really, with only three pregnancies, 2 of which were anterior placenta, I have no clue if there was a correlation or not.
But at my regular ultrasound, they could tell me that's what I had right then and there. So I'm surprised that they didn't tell you. It's nothing to be concerned about though.
