I see white hardness on Hannah's gums. How long does it take for those pearly whites to push through?

For my DD it usually took her about 2 weeks until the actual tooth was through the gum.

I think it varies quite a bit- sometimes I thought it would be any day, and then it would end up being a few more weeks.

There was a time when DD was around 4 months or so, and it looked like all of her K9s were coming in. I knew this was weird, so knowing a pediatric dentist, we took her in for a look see. The doc said it wasn't actually teeth we saw (we saw hard white teeth, so we thought) and after a long while it went away...so seeing white doesn't necessarily mean teeth...BUT I hope her teeth are coming in, babies are so cute with those little teeth......
I do know that once they actually break through it has taken about a month or so for the teeth to come in completly...maybe even a bit longer. That really surprised me...I thought once they broke through they would shoot up....at least it didn't happen with DD!!

Happy teething!! :D

Same experience here as Amber had. With my first it took quite a while for her teeth come through. But with ds it was really fast. Every baby is different. Here's hoping they come in quickly or maybe not so quickly  since you are bf'ing. Yikes. LOL

It varies from child to child, tooth to tooth.

I've had some that once you could see that it was 'right there' it would take only a week. Then, like now with the bebe, months. Seriously, he's been working on these other bottom teeth, you can see the swollen gums and just know the teeth are 'right there', but he's been *teething* for these for 2 months now.

Though, I do seem to recall those first 4 come in the fastest. The 2 after that are pretty close as well. But it just seems to me, in my experience with my kids, after that, it does take a bit longer to 'cut' them.

I can tell you that bfing with teeth isn't any different than bfing without teeth. Ok, maybe they get a better suction, and sometimes when you want to unlatch and they REALLY don't want to, it's easier for them to keep a hold, but you just have to stick your finger in around the teeth, other than that, it's just the same! :D

hehehe Yeah, I get little teeth imprints. He's not biting, it's just the suction clamps his teeth against me. What's funny is that now he can still 'hold on' while looking up and smiling at me LOL

My kids teethed from day 1 until 1 year!!! I tell you, every time they were fussy, had a bit of drool, had red cheeks from anything, laughed, looked cute, cried, were cranky, anything, someone would say, oh, they must be teething!!! At that rate, it can take a long time for those teeth to get through!!!

I don't know if you all use anything for teething, but I am such a fan of Hyland's Teething tablets... wonderful lil' things!
