I have noticed recently M has had dark circles under his eyes? I know the first thing to think about would be sleep, but he gets about 12 hours, I am wondering if it is a lack of something in his diet? Not sure if I should take him to our PA? We live in Or and dont get a lot of sunlight in the winter so not sure if I should maybe get him Vitd supplement and see if that helps?

It is very likely due to lack of sunlight which can cause Vit D defficiency. I notice all my kids will get dark circles when we spend less time outdoors, like in the winter months. I haven't really done my research here so I'm not sure but I think that the sun helps with vit d absorbtion so a supplement might not really do any good. Maybe it would though. Idk.. something to look into anyway.
I try hard to get these guys outside for at least an hr a day but when its really cold or pouring rain its kind hard.
I'll be watching this thread! Hopefully someone else knows more about it then me!

Any sinus problems? Mine get dark when my allergies act up.

Very common sign of allergy problems in kiddos...mine fight them....they call them allergy shiners.....check with your Dr....

Yeah, I read about that when I was looking into why my kids were getting dark circles. In our case though it's not the cause. No allergies here, unless that is the only sign? Unlikely though.

The other things that can cause it is sleep, which you already ruled out and lack of water/dehydration. Is Micah getting enough fluids?

He drinks all the time Ashlee I actually sometimes get concerned at how much he does drink, but he is also very active. So if they did have allergies would they have runny nose too or what other signs?

I'm assuming there would be something! Runny nose probably being the most common thing. Maybe not though? For my kids though.. I have seen the link between summer months and no darkness and winter months and darkness. Allergies just don't seem likely here. Have you changed anything in m's diet or enviroment recently? If not it seems kind of odd for allergy issues to just start, yk? Or has he always had dark circles?

They might have stuffy ears of sore throats from drainage. Sometimes kids just have a hard time putting it into words. I have suffered from them for years before getting them under control for the most part as a grown up.
