That night nursing really plays a role in suppressing fertility! Micah slept through the night a couple of times and had some long sleep stretches and I had some spotting around 5 months. He went back to nursing a lot during the night and I'm back to unambiguous infertility.
We're 9 months postpartum and it's pretty obvious that nothing is happening in the fertility department. Maybe I'll get as long without AF (or longer) as last time. One thing is for sure--minor changes to the frequency of nursing can sure mess with lactational amenorrhea.
I'm not looking forward to the ambiguity when he starts cutting down on nighttime nursing though. But this time, I'm not planning on forcing nighttime weaning either. (it didn't work very well last time, anyway)
Any other non-TTC'ers around here? Let's get the conversation in this forum moving a bit!
