Yeah... false labor, that is. It begins this week. Had cramping all day yesterday, bad bad bad cramping. Then by the time the sun was going down, it was getting rhythmic and painful.... my back was aching, hips were throbbing and I was seriously nauseated.
I took a hot bath, drank a ton of water (had been well hydrated all day), and tried to relax.... it just got worse.[crwy] I told hub about it, and we went up to lay in bed... I put a heating pad on my back and just laid still... almost an hour later... they stop. Just dead stop. Whew...........
I've had "false labor" with all my pregnancies... and it always starts between week 30-32... I was hoping to escape it this go 'round. Ugh.
Have any of you had to deal with false labor like this? How do you get through it without becoming depressed (from the constant aching) and losing heart? Pray for me gals... *this* is the hardest part of pregnancy for me.........[whatheadagainstthe:

Aww,Jen! So sorry to hear of your discomfort. I'll be praying for your strength, comfort, and sanity, friend! And that little Wyatt hold on until it's much closer to EDD and especially for when YOUR body is ready!
Sorry to hear that Jen! that is hard. I had false labour with dd from week 33. Had me up for several hours several nights of the week. It was difficult to keep pressing through. The light at the end of the tunnel for me was that all that false labour really prepped my body for *real* labour and when the time came, it was super fast! (3.5 hours) Praying for strength and for it to ease up for a few weeks. [hug]

Yeah, that's what's getting me through right now... that this is all "prep-work" for my body, and hopefully the real thing will be quick, but long enough for me to get my antibiotics for the GBS. Ya know? ::snort::
It's all really worth it... I can say that with honesty~ :) I think the only truly *hard* part about it is trying to keep up with everything else (five kids, home school, holidays, housework, paying enough attention to hub) while in this kind of discomfort. Know what I mean? But I don't mind *this* so much... I just wish that somebody else could pick up everything else for me for the next two months. ::snort:: LOL

Mine didn't start quite that early, but I did have false labor several times (a few weeks in advance) with Daniel. They ended up inducing me 2 weeks before he was due because of it.
I know what you mean about trying to get on with the rest of life while your body is doing that. I did it while teaching, lol. ;) It got to the point where my classroom assistant made me sit in my teacher's chair (that rolled around) to teach. Ha ha ha...
I will be thinking of, and praying for you as you go about your day to day routines.

i'm really sorry Jen, I'll continue to be praying for you.
I can't believe you are at 30 weeks and I am here holding my little girl. It all seems so surreal to me! i can't wait to see your little boy!
