What do you guys recommend for a forward facing infant? We used the moby wrap when she was little and LOVED it but now she is a little bigger ( 16# 6oz ) so that doesnt' seem as supportive. She likes to look forward too :) Was looking at the Mei Tai but it looks like the baby would fall out. Any suggestions? Thanks!

the best suggestion I have is to find a local group and try some things out so you can really see what you like...

I have a mei tai and I really like it.... make sure you get one with nice padding on the waist straps. The way the waist straps are, the baby will not fall out.

Also check out the Ergo... rave reviews everywhere!!

I also suggest finding a group in your area to try out different ones.

I also wanted to say that forward facing isn't really safe or good for baby. It's not a great position for baby to be in, baby is supposed to be in a seated position not a crotch dangling position. If baby likes to see out then try carrying her on your back so that she sees everything you see.

ditto what eva said. I have a Beco and LOVE it way more than the Ergo. also if you loved the moby you could try a diddy or storch wrap...they are much more supportive. check out the for sale section on TBW.com

We love our ergo (especially DH). Its VERY sturdy and comfy...its really been great for hiking! I do, however, want to get a Beco for this next baby...I hear good things about it too. Neither are front facing though which I agree isn't as safe.

I have the ultimate baby wrap, similar to a moby, and I love it. I want at boba carrier for the next one. I have seen it online and it looks amazing. Kind of like a mei tei, but it looks more secure (and would be something my husband may actually wear)

Thanks for all the input ladies! Wasn't aware that forward facing is not good for them, I never used a carrier with any of my others. Thanks again!

EvaS and baby carrier experts?? Is it ok to forward face in a sling? I always froggy or cross my sons legs and face them out in my sling. Not the same as daggling in a wrap or mei tai. I was going to suggest that mom2pj. :-D Just used mine like that at the Christmas Parade last night so Ds could see. Slings are easy and super fast to put on but I like my wrap better for hands free. :-D
