Hiya all!

Been awhile since I've been on here. We have been finding it hard settling into life again after having James.

We ended up giving up on the breastfeeding after expressing fulltime for 10 weeks. I am absolutely heartbroken over this decision but it needed to be made. James is now feeding well on reflux formula but I am still grieving over the feeding. He just never got the hang of it even with all the health professionals we saw. It is really hard for me to see other Mum's feeding and causes me to nearly cry.

I have been diagnosed with PND and anxiety. I never expected that to happen to me. Its been quite hard really. Things are getting better though. I will post more about it later as my laptop is playing up.

James is precious! So good looking - and what a great name! LOVE the name James :-)

Will be praying for you. Went through a bit of depression myself after my oldest was born...still struggle with general depression now. Will definitely keep you in my prayers.

Sorry you are having a tough time right now. I also had PPD with my first. I think a lot of is was because I blamed myself when everything went "wrong". There is NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING, wrong with formula. Don't beat yourself up because of this. you did NOT fail as a wife/mother/woman becuase breastfeeding didn't work out. You expressed for 10 weeks and that is a lot! a lot of other women would not have made it as long as you did. feel good about that! Just because breastfeeding was hard this go around doesn't mean it will for your next baby. My first was SO hard too and now my 2nd is SO easy. Don't beat yourself up for any reason, it's satan trying to ruin your new joy of being a mom. I will be praying for you...I know how dark and scary this can be and how there feels like no end...but there is!

Awwww, Ali... I know how much you wanted to Bfeed, but you can still bond with James~ I'm praying for you, gal~ He's just beautiful, just like his momma~ :) Thank you so much for sharing!
