...it's time for baby name input for the male species...

I've always loved Ethan but I'm worried it's way too common. Studies show it's #3 in the US right now, and I really don't want my kid to grow up sharing his names with half the kids on the street.

I really really like surnames, such as
Carter (can't use cuz my friend did!)
Cooper
Mason (can't use cuz my sis did!)
Parker
Porter
Sawyer (my fave!)

The only problem is, these all end in "r" and our last name starts with "R".
So mostly I'd like some opinions on names...

~I mostly like English names (Blake is, Ethan is, and the surnames I like are) but Nicholas is Greek, so I'm not held to that!
~It needs to go well with Blake & Nicholas
~It can't be TOO common, or too OUT THERE
~It has to go okay with our last name which starts with "R" and rhymes with "premiere"

What do you think of Bronson? It's my mom's maiden name as well. I have a firm rule that I do not use a name for sentimental reasons if I don't love it. I don't have a sentimental bone in my body... but I do kinda like the sound of Bronson...

I only have a second....I'll try to think of some ideas for you, but in the meantime, check out this website! http://www.servicealberta.ca/807.cfm It lists all the baby names used in Alberta over the last several years so you can see the frequency of use for the names you like. I always check out the names I like to see how popular they are....we like our names to be less common too. :D

ETA: Ethan has been in the top ten names in Alberta for the last 10ish years. :???:

Thanks Kim!! I totally forgot about that site... glad you reminded me :)
And that's exactly what I've been finding with the name Ethan, it's like #1 - #3 pretty much everywhere, but it's weird that I only know one Ethan and he's like 10...
