View Full Version : I wear my dh's boxer briefs LOL
savedbygrace 11-07-2009, 12:42 AM Ok. a lot of you know that I'm a pastor's wife. and I struggle when I'm pregnant to NOT have panty lines towards teh end of my pregnancies. my stomach sticks so far out that it pulls all of my clothes forward and my skirts/dresses end up hugging my beautiful plump bootie LOL.
I hate panty lines, i think they're one of the tackiest things. Soooo one day I desided to try on a pair of my dh's boxer briefs. he has some that he never wears because he didn't like how they fit. well guess what? I LOVE them. I roll the waste band like three times so it fits comfortably, but they are so nice under my clothes. and even better, i never get wedgie's! I don't know why I haven't done this sooner or with my other pregnancies.
P.S. dh thinks its cute LOL
Jessy 11-07-2009, 01:01 AM Confessions, confessions ;) LOL I believe that when pregnant we should do whatever it takes to be comfy, etc. even if it means wearing boxer briefs. :) I actually have tried a pair of dh's on myself and they are seriously awesome. [halo]
I'm right there with you regarding the tackiness of panty lines but for me the thong hanging above the pant line really annoys me to no end!
Israel 11-07-2009, 05:05 AM LOL...Esther, you're a riot!
You are right though...I've tried them on too and think they are comfy. I'll have to try under clothes though. Too funny!
kanaclark 11-07-2009, 10:30 AM I've worn them for years. My aunt started wearing men's regular briefs b/c of wedgies way back when, but she's skinny and didn't have to worry about the tightness in the thighs. She told me that and I tried the boxer briefs. Yes, they are comfy. But I usually wear thongs when a panty line is an issue.
Hi! I'm your tacky friend, Jen, who cares nothing about panty-lines and just wears what she pulls out of the drawer. I'm probably that woman that you stand behind in WM and GAG as you gaze at her pantiline through her running pants, skirt, dress, whatever... ::sigh:: That's me.......
::snort::
Anywho... Esther, I had an idea. What about the "boycut briefs" they make for women now? I find some of them super comfortable~ For me, it depends on the brand, how cheaply they are made and such. but over all... I like them. I dunno... just an idea~ :)
savedbygrace 11-07-2009, 01:49 PM awww what relief to know i'm not alone LOL
Jen~ I have some boy cut but they still give me wedgies, when i'm pregnant that is. my but keeps getting bigger but I don't want to buy more undies, so I wear my dh's LOL
Jessy~ ughhhh the thong showing... when my dh was the youth leader at our church, one of the girls came to a youth activity with her thong hangin out, and I went up to it a snapped it LOL she was like "heyyyyy" and I told her next time she comes to a church function to please wear her strings under her clothing.
never had that problem again!

HA! LOL! ::snort:: Thaaaaaaaaaaaaat's hilarious, Esther! I could sooooo see you doing that!!
Jessy 11-07-2009, 04:13 PM LOL, go Esther! :) We were in line at Wal-Mart and this lady, probably pushing mid 50's?! bent over to grab something from the bottom of her cart and BAM, neon pink thong straps hanging out, dh was standing RIGHT there and turned and looked at me
That said, no matter your age, 100 or 10 your undies just be just that; UNDER ;)
Crissyanna 11-07-2009, 06:35 PM This thread has cracked me up today. Thanks.
I never would have thought to have tried men's boxer briefs while preggo...I bought some boy cut maternity ones and ended up hating them. The kept falling down. Not good while wearing pants and your unders are falling down past your hips and you're out in public with no way to fix it. I'll have to remember this trick for next time. Even though I'll have to go out and buy some. My husband will only wear standard boxers. I don't want that much loose material down there personally...though I am the one to replenish the supply. Maybe next time I'll just grab some and see what he thinks. This makes me want to get pregnant again to try it out.
kanaclark 11-08-2009, 10:38 AM Chrissy, they're comfy even when your not pregnant.
I can't stand thongs showing regardless of age, either. I truly believe they hit "mainstream" (outside of strippers/dancers) to help reduce panty lines, not to show of to every person who happens to see you. I wear my pants "lunchroom lady high" anyway, b/c of a screwed up waist line (as in I'm high waisted but only 5 foot tall) so I don't have to worry about it, but I always bite my tongue not to tell girls (and boys) to pull their pants up.
Tammyn4As 11-08-2009, 11:48 PM The briefs are comfy too when your preggers![halo]
JoyLynn 11-09-2009, 02:39 AM Esther, I wore my hubby's boxers (that he only wore the month we were TTC each kidlet) at the ends of all my pregnancies. They were wonderful, and so very comfortable! Yeah, just rolled down the waist. Perfect. My own undies were low enough that I could wear them almost to the end, until they started riding so low, they'd actually slide all the way off my bunz.. and further depending on the clothing I was wearing. LOL!! [rotfl]
I remember telling my MIL I was wearing hubby's boxers at the end of my pregnancy with Scotty, and she told me she did the same thing when she was preggers.
I love it!! Too cute!! [claploud]
