Abigail was there for Josiah's birth. In fact she was sitting right next to the midwife and she even got to cut the cord. This time around she wanted to cut the cord again for Ellie. But a new notice went up that because of the swine flu going around, no one under the age of 18 is allowed on the maternity floor. Not even in the waiting room! So she won't see me or Ellie until we go home. [sadashamed] With Josiah I stayed in the hospital for two days because i almost hemorraged. I'm praying that won't happen this time. I'm hoping I'll be there 24 hours and then get to go home. But after my prenatal appointment I went home to tell Abby and she was soooo sad. She kept saying "but I'm healthy, I'm healthy" She started to get teary eyed. I told her she'll have to stay home and make something extra special for when we return with her little sister. That made her feel a little better. Plus I said I would video tape the birth so she can watch it at home.

That poor gal, I know how much she loves to be a part of everything you do! She's like your right arm (after hub, of course)~ I think it's so sweet~ That sure stinks... maybe just some "one-on-one" time with you and Ellie will make her feel better, when you first get home? :( Poor kiddo~
