Hi!

Starting to think about the next size of cloth diapers. I have been using small prefolds and wondering if they would fit and work well as inserts in one size pocket diapers?

Thank you :)

I have used pre-folds with success. I never used them as actual inserts but rather used the pockets like a PUL cover. No need to use pins or snappis either. I found it much easier not to actually stuff pockets unless I was going out. You just want to make sure that the diaper fits snuggly so that it doesn't leak but other than that i didn't have a problem.

That's a good question Kathaleen! I hadn't thought of it too much, but we're at the same place you are now. :)

Sarah, that's a great idea!! I will have to try that. Thanks!

I stuff my small fuzzi bunz with small prefolds all the time. I was just given a bum guinies OS AIO and LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I wish I had just bought all those and skipped the fuzzi bunz. I can use it on my 12lb 4 month old without any issues or leaks AND I can use it on my 2 year old 30lb toddler without any issues!!! I can't believe it!!! Wish I would have tried one a long time ago. It would have been nice to have only 1 stash instead a stash for each size[whatwacko]

I just checked those out online, how cool is that! No stuffing, no inserts, I could handle that :) and all 1 size, how convenient is that!

I sometimes use prefolds as inserts and they do work fine.

I still like the idea of inserts seperate from the diaper since I wash the inserts twice as much. I do have a few of the older BumGenius dipes but they have the velcro, which wears out. I've always liked their idea of them being one size and now they have added the snaps. However, I think I still need convincing on not having seperate inserts? I found that my diapers are lasting longer by washing them seperate from the inserts. Maybe I'm just missing something--wouldn't be the first time. :)

Oh, I forgot to add that I have a boy, so I usually would also fold the prefold in the front to make the front a little thicker. ;)
