I was talking to my sister the other day and she says that anyone that she has known (herself included) to have *awful* morning sickness always had a girl. (She thinks I'm having a girl.) So I'm going to toss the question to a wider group....what say you? Were you more sick with girls than with boys?

ETA: Of course, everthing is hit or miss, 50/50 chance of being right! lol. I'm just interested to see what all of you say! :D

With Abby I had no morning sickness, not even nausea. With Micah I had nausea for about 9weeks. And with Lydia I had nausea all day every day for about 9 weeks. Lydia was by far the worst, so I think my morning sickness must just get worse each time.

definitely an old wive's tale... I was sicker with my boy here than I was with any of my girls (Twins excluded)~ I still have waves of nausea pretty much *every* day. But I was sick with ALL of them, didn't seem to matter boy or girl~ :)

I was sick with both - but worse with my girl.

heaved from moment of conception until delivery with both boys...and the pregnancy we lost second trimester...it is alllll hormone based and how your body is reacting.

sick with both...longer time with girl.

I figured as much. But it's still fun to survey everyone and make guesses! :D

Not very sick with either girl or boy.

With my first pregnancy I was sick the entire time and it was a girl, up until the day I lost her. With Payton not so much and this pregnancy has been horrible again so I'm curious to see if it's a girl, will let you know once I find out ;)

wives tale but, . . .nausea with both. with girl I had times of vomiting that wouldn't be stopped, with boy all I had to do was eat constantly. as long as I didn't let myself get hungry I wouldn't vomit. I seriously got super tired of eating=) I'd say nausea was the same, vomiting was worse with dd.

I was dog sick either way.
#3 - boy was my first REAL bout of m/s which lasted well into the 2nd tri
#4 - girl, pretty much the same thing
The difference with her was that I gained more weight 'everywhere' and I felt nauseous during labor.
#5 & 6 - boys, sick sick sick

When I was pregnant with Rebekah, I didn't get sick at all. I loved every minute of the pregnancy!

I never really got sick (with either my girl or my boys). I think I vomited maybe twice in five pregnancies. Yes, I felt queasy for a few months, but nothing big. I pay at the end with enormous babies. :mrgreen:
