Ugh. I hate to sound like I'm complaining, but I've been feeling really miserable the last week. Either I can't keep anything down, or if I do, I'm finding I have terrible indigestion/gas (????...my best guess) pains. It's getting to the point where I am starting to become unable to be up and about, doing things in the house or getting errands done. I have to go get groceries today, and I just don't know if I can manage. :( I've never experienced anything quite like this. It was never this bad with the other kids. Does anyone know what I can do for the indigestion/gas pain? I've got to get some relief so that I can function. [whatwacko]

You know, Kim, sometimes these phases just *happen*... the last three pregnancies for me have been this way. I've had a few *MONTHS* where I was just down and out sick and nasty feeling. Everyone in the family was really helpful in just ignoring my irritability, but man I felt aweful. I just had to get past it, there was nothing that truly helped. I know that's so not the reply you were expecting and hoping for... but just try reminding yourself that *this* too shall pass... it *WILL*. Ugh. What a miserable period. I sure hope it's a short term thing for you and it passes quickly~ Big hugs gal~

you can take tums. but i don't know how much they'll really help. I use to sip on 7up to help me burp. *so unlady like* but I always felt like it was stuck in my chest and my throat.
Hope things get better soon for you.

GasX or the generic version is safe in pregnancy. It can really help with the pains...and sometimes helps you to pass gas or burp. Tums if it's more indegestion related.

Sorry Kim. Hate you are going through this. (((HUGS)))

I did as the other women suggested as far as ant-acids--they saved my life than ugh it was awful. Also maybe call your midwife/dr. sometimes if you want they can perscribe something if needed for such bad nausea and indig. I did for a few of my pregnancies because of hormones they had me on to sustain my preg, made things so much worse. Like you wrote I couldn't function and I had other kids at home. And if I EVER let on to anyone that I felt so bad and couldn't function the comments they came back with were never helpful but hurtful. Hopefully your family is supportive, cause I know the "you did this to yourself, live with it" or "you wanted all these kids" comments just made life worse.

Hugs I am so so sorry you are feeling this bad. I am so glad you posted this because throughout the day I love knowing who to pray for and for what and will keep you in constant prayer my friend. Hang in there Kim, just hang in there.

Thanks for all your suggestions. The indigestion/gas pains seem to be leaving me alone today - PTL! Still really nauseous though. blah. I decided to call my doc and make an appt., and was actually able to get in right away. (That NEVER happens!) So I saw him this morning. He did give me a prescription to manage the nausea. It turns out my sister took the same thing through all her pregnancies...she says it does wonders. So I'm going to try the minimum dose tonight and hopefully that will make a difference tomorrow.
