Merry Christmas Everyone!
Owen Jay Brown was born on December 23rd at 10:08 am! (The ultimate birthday gift for my hubby's Mom who shares the same birthday with him now!) He weighed 7 pounds and 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. A very healthy little guy...and hungry all the time!
They released us a day early so we could be home with DS for Christmas too!
DS is totally taken with his new little brother and has been so gentle and loving! He was very excited to bring him home on Christmas Eve yesterday!
They stripped my membranes Friday at 8 am and I started contracting an hour later and started true and hard labor at 2 am that next morning....got to the hospital at 8 am and delivered at 10 am...so I was too far and too fast to have any pain medication or have the option of an epidural....oy! All went well though and he was delivered in less than 1 minute and only 2 pushes! Actually, he came so fast that the nurse delivered him and handed the baby to the doctor as he walked in the room! Luckily the nurse we had was amazing and really knew her stuff! Lots of stitches, but should heal well and no complications for myself or the new little man! Thank you all for the advice on questions and prayers!
