How do you do it cleanly when you're not throwing away a diaper with it? Do you throw poopy wipes straight in the trash or wrap them up somehow? I got a huge box of disposable diaper wipes from Sam's Club as a gift.

Cheeseburger 12-25-2006, 01:45 AM i throw them straight in the trash unless they are poopy - otherwise i use a plastic grocery bag (get tons of those things when you go grocery shopping LOL). If I am using disposables I wrap the diaper/wipes, twist, then put the bag through the bag again (double layered). Like, you twist, then bring the bag up over the diaper AGAIN... ok hard to explain. but, the point is it's double wrapped with 1 bag so the smell isn't as bad, so you don't stink up public restrooms. SoapLady 12-25-2006, 06:33 PM I found it was actually easier for me to use cloth wipes. With a little one, there are always a zillion other uses for those disposable wipes. It's handy to keep them around the house, in the car, or the diaper bag. Just an idea if you find they are a hassle to use with cloth diapers. Kensbev 12-29-2006, 10:45 PM I agree with SoapLady. Cloth wipes are loads easier than disposable wipes. They get your baby cleaner, too. Can you donate the disposables to your church nursery? Otherwise, keep some in a plastic bag in your diaper bag to use for those times when your baby spits up or makes some kind of mess. Rach 12-30-2006, 12:05 AM all great ideas. :D |
