Baby G slept in his bed ALLLLLLL night last night

As I'm sure I've mentioned, we started putting him in his bed to start the night a couple of months ago. Most nights he would start there, and most of those nights he would sleep 4 hrs that first stretch. Then I would go get him and he'd stay in bed with me the rest of the night/morning.
Then he got sick.
He came back to bed with us full time. After a good 3 weeks of icky floating around, he was on the mend. Back to his usual self. I tried him in his bed the other night, eh...
Then last night he went down, as usual, fussed for just a couple of minutes (as he does whether he goes down by himself in his bed or mine LOL), then that was it. That was around 9 - 9:30 ?? I never heard another peep out of him.
In fact, this morning...I woke up, had to go to the bathroom, glanced at the clock and couldn't believe he was still in his bed. It was 7 am! After my trip to the bathroom I peek in there to check on him. He pops his little head up as soon as the door opens, and begins crawling my way. :)
I picked him up and we came back to my bed for a morning snuggle and snack.

Of course, *I* still woke up several times during the night. Having been trained so well by little man to wake frequently LOL But I didn't stay awake, just a stir, stop, listen for baby....nope, ok...zzzzzzzz hehe

I don't expect this to be the norm now by any means. But even one night of such rest...aaaaah...sweet :D

WOW! From what I understand, that's a huge milestone for a co-sleeping baby! Do you think it was her being exhausted from being sick?

Whatever it was, CONGRATS that it happened!

I don't know ...just realized sleep was a good thing? hehehe

He *does* sleep well on his own, at nap time during the day..just dandy. It's just being next to me at night, he doesn't always do so well. But all of mine hit that 'stage' around 1 yr, in which they don't sleep as well with me, so off to bed they go.

Wow Tara! That's amazing. I would be just as shocked as you if Hannah went a whole night without waking up. I don't imagine that she will for a long time. I'm not sure if I'll ever sleep another whole night without waking up until all my kids are married off. [rofl]

Well, last night he went down again around 9:30...
dh brought him to me this morning as he was getting ready for work..so...5-6-ish??

And he's so happy!! :) hehe
Yup, I think he realized a long stretch of sleep is a *good* thing. He even slept through sister coughing a few times. When I heard her I cringed, I just knew I would next hear him fussing. But no.

I still don't expect it to last just yet hehehe But I'll enjoy it while I can. Then welcome the snuggles if/when he returns *grins*

That is funny... I do the same thing.... CRINGE... don't make noises anyone. DD is nowhere near sleeping through the night. Oh well ... I am glad to hear about the good news. I think we feel worse sometimes than they do... !

well our spurt has ended LOL

Last night he was in our bed...he just could/would *not* go to sleep. I don't think he felt well. Teething. He felt a bit feverish this morning.

Ah well, like I said...enjoy it while I have it...and I did. Take each day as it comes :)

hehehe

Well, he slept well again last night.

I think I also had a 'weeeee bit much' caffeine the day before, aiding in his sleeplessness I usually don't have that much, but, well, it was our 'class party' and I indulged in a 2 lt of coke with our pizza. No, I didn't drink the entire 2lt myself that day LOL (finishing it off as I 'speak') but anywho ... I had a couple of glasses, along with some fudge LOL

Oops!

I've settled back down now, it appears his sleeping has too :)
