I took one yesterday. It was the 2nd negative. I think my period should have started by yesterday. So I'm wondering how long I should wait before taking another one? :???:

I'm the wrong person to be answering. ::snort:: I'm a POASAH (pee-on-a-stick-a-holic)! I took one every day starting up to ten days before my period was due... yes, I'm pathetic. BUT... by two days PAST when you expected your period, you *should* have a positive. I'd say wait a couple days, no AF, take another test~ :)

:lol: That cracked me up! Nah, not pathetic, just obsessively excited and expectant?!

Anyway, thanks. It can be confusing since the test says it can show a positive for a certain number of days before missed period, but I guess that's where the "everyone is different" thing comes in...

I'll probably try to wait until the weekend.

I think it's usually a week ,but not sure i was 8 wks when i tested with my first lol (long story) and about 9 days with my second.
apparently you can have a false negative but not a false positive if that makes sense lol and i have known it to happen.

The reason one would get a false negative would be because a woman can ovulate on a different day than usual in their cycle. If you ovulate later than normal it would push back the time period of when you would get a positive. I would wait until next weekend in case you just ovulated late. That's what happened to me this past cycle. I ended up having a 35 day cycle instead of my typical 28. Hope you end up getting your positive.
