View Full Version : Baby Name Help....
so, we had picked out names for our babe, but for reasons which I'm not going to waste your time and go through we are back at ground zero... at least for a girl's name. Hub REALLY likes Bella (in spite of Twilight). In Hebrew (the reason he picked it to begin with) it means: Pledged to God.
So, I really want to stick with the name... but we're lost as to a middle name. Bella ____ and our last name is three syllables. Any ideas? We really like the Hebrew sounding names (Eliya) but we also like Irish/Scottish names.
Every time I try to go and look through baby names it's like my brain just SHUTS down and I just can't look any more. Thanks in advance for your responses gals~ :)
Blessed 2 B Zoe 09-09-2009, 04:30 PM ummmm trickey one hows about Bella Marie or Bella Louise
Reneemomto5 09-09-2009, 04:57 PM I think the older names would sound real good, like Grace, or Claire, Rachel, Rebekah, or Ruth maybe. I just like the older names like that. Granted my daughters middle name is Grace I really love it, truthfully wanted it as her first but well very long story there.
Anyway maybe try the older names.
Kana was nice enough to bring this to my attention... my last name is *two*, I say again, *two* syllables... not three. Oy. Can I blame that one on pregnancy brain as well??? ::snort:: I'm tellin ya, it's almost scary I've become SUUUUCH an airhead!
kanaclark 09-09-2009, 07:31 PM yeah, you can! LOL. But honestly, if you'd agreed with the pronunciation I asked about, you wouldn't have surprised me. My maiden name, Rauton, half of our family pronounces it like "raw-ton", the other half, "roe-ton". So I was honestly just curious. But i did *think* I was right. That's just human nature. :-) LOL
PianoMama 09-09-2009, 09:36 PM Hmmm...

mumof3boyz 09-09-2009, 10:07 PM I love the name Claire, so I'd probably go with Bella Claire. That is adorable!
Tammyn4As 09-09-2009, 10:55 PM What about Bella Conner or Bella Amore- meaning beautiful love. I also like Bella Grace
krazee4jc 09-09-2009, 11:05 PM Bella Rose (scottish meaning FLOWER)
Bella Aara (hebrew meaning ADORING)
buttercup_97140 09-10-2009, 05:07 AM LOL Donna....who knew Rose meant flower? :-D
Honestly, I think your baby should be named after me.....why.....um no clue, it just sounds awesome! haahaa!!
I like Bella Rose a lot too. Not just because Mak's middle name is Rose either.
My friend just had a baby girl named Claire...I think that would be cute too.
Blessings,
Amber
PianoMama 09-10-2009, 08:55 AM Jen, isn't Rose your middle name?
breezykc2 09-10-2009, 09:11 AM Like the Bella Grace and Bella Aara suggestions...so timeless and classy!
Ummm, if it helps, my cats name is Bella Joy! LOL (sorry!) [whatwacko]
I like all your suggestions, gals~ Thanks!
Yes, Kate, MissGoodMemory! My middle name is Rose and so is my eldest's~ :) It's a family name, after my mom's mom. My dad's mom was Edna Naomi (Eliya's middle name), but I just can't get myself to use the name EDNA. ::snort::
~Tara~ 09-10-2009, 11:12 AM I gave you my suggestions already. And I'm sticking to that. I have nothing new to add. :p

You're a hoot, T~ ::snort::
Being that I am not on here everyday, so in case I missed it, do we know for sure it is a girl or are you pretty sure (since that is your families trend) :)
However, like Renee and Breezy, I like Bella Grace.
Blessed 2 B Zoe 09-10-2009, 01:00 PM I also like
Bella Elizabeth
~Tara~ 09-10-2009, 01:10 PM Beth...
They are settled on a boy name, only struggling for the girl. :)
krazee4jc 09-10-2009, 10:51 PM LOL....looks like the girl names are out :-D
YUH! Now we have to come up with a boy's name!!! Holy moly! We "were" settled... until it was acccctttuuuaaally a boy... now, man... we just don't know... back to the drawing board!!!
4HisGlory 09-11-2009, 12:27 PM yippy!!!! congrats on your little man!!!!
krazee4jc 09-14-2009, 12:32 AM LOL...what names have you thought of for boys [preggostorkboy]
buttercup_97140 09-17-2009, 07:41 AM I'm sorry, but I'm dancing for your inconvenience! LOL :-D
I think boy's names are harder to pick. We went back and forth trying to name Noah but when I was going through the book, I came upon Noah and Dh and I just couldn't think of a better name for our son.
The nice thing is....the Lord already knows the name of your little son!
Blessings,
Amber
