Has anyone else had a bottle fed bub who is completely certain of the teats she likes and doesn't like?
I have two types of bottles Avent, and Little Wishes, the little wishes teats are only marginally shorter than the Avent, but when I try to feed Matilda with them she looks at me like "WHAT is this?" and then sometimes goes as far as to spit the milk back at me RRRRRRRRR.
AVent are the most expensive brand of bottle you can get in Australia, so it is a bit frustrating. I have tried to move to cheaper imitations before (similar to little Wishes) and they leak and are rubbish!
Oh well I am going to keep perservering with the Little Wishes as they are good bottles.

Both of my children preferred a specific nipple when they took a bottle too. Little ones can be quite the picky ones  when it comes to their nipples. Best of luck! Stephanie :D

LOL, I would buy the Avents in a heartbeat if I could get Tory to take a bottle once in awhile. She doesn't like ANY sort of artificial nipple, though, so I have to have a plan for emergency breastfeeding everywhere I go. I either go back to the car, or if it's someplace like a restaurant or like Target, which has a coffee shop, I plop down with a poncho over the area where parts get exposed and do my business there. Getting to relax a little over a cup of decaf cappucino makes it worth it, though. :D

Yup, had that problem here. Our DD would only really take the ortho nipples, you know the ones shaped all funny? Those really were the only pacifiers she would take too. In a pinch we could get her to take another kind, but it was a struggle.
Could you try and buy some Advent bottles on Ebay or Craigslist? I'm sure you could find a good lot of them there!

It's funny because my twins were NEVER fussy about a teat as long as there was milk at the end of it.
Hey and I had a brainwave today :D  put the avent teats in the Little Wishes bottles... much cheaper! Matilda doesn't know the difference.
Man she's a funny kid!
No more wasting money on bottles now I have found a combination. I am going to sell the rotten ones on Ebay too!
that is what i did, i bought a good quality teat, and placed them on the cheaper bottles. saved a HUGE bundle on buying the more expensive bottle (with teat).
and the baby did not know the difference. the teat is what they mostly after, the bottle does not matter so much. mom often holds it anyway!

Yup! I have bottle fed both of my kids. With my dd she used the cheapie bottles from Walmart and only wanted those nipples!
Now with Josiah he had really bad reflux so we switched over to Dr. Brown's bottles when he was only a couple weeks old. Eventually we didn't need the bottles anymore (not to mention the parts are annoying to clean with no dishwasher!) But ds still wanted those nipples. So we are currently using Dr. Brown's nipples in Playtex Ventair Bottles.... And then when we need new nipples we just buy Dr. Brown's nipples so he doesn't get mad!
I tell him he is nipple picky!

My Erik is very picky, we have piles of avent bottles from ds#1 but Erik won't even think about them. After some trial and error we found he really liked Playtex Ventair Wide Nipple. So now if there is a #3 hopefully he likes one of those two options so we don't have to get a third kind.
yeah, my boys were fussy about the type of nipple on their bottles. Luckily the same thing worked for all of them. I heard that bf moms need to find a nipple that will mimic their own nipple shape.
