In the past 24 hrs, S has managed to fall off/on the couch twice - the first time he scraped his chin and the 2nd time he gave himself a puffy black and blue on the side of his eye. He never falls climbing on and off the couch so today was a doozy! Then my oldest, who was fine when he woke up this morning, now has a mystery scratch on his forehead - he has no idea when/how he got it, but is pretty sure it was during playtime this morning when I was cooking breakfast.

Dh assures me that the number and variety of injuries they get will just get more interesting as they get older. Eek!

josh is always falling off things or on things. my friend had a month where her oldest got hit by a car on their street (moving slowly backing out, PTL and wasn't hurt) her middle got stitches on his tongue from biting it on the trampling, and the youngest burnt his hand on the wood stove and had to do PT. When her oldest boy told all this to the physical therapist during his brother's therapy she got so scared that the next day when someone knocked on the door she didn't know she had all the boys and her run and hide in a room thinking it would be CPS [rofllol]

There are times when I love the fearlessness of their play and the bouncy-climbing-tumbliness of it all, but when they hurt their sweet little faces it makes me crazy [whatwacko] And yeah, 4HisGlory, sometimes I worry about CPS, too just like your friend.

;) I'm pretty sure it isn't just limited to boys. Our DD is just as daring as her brothers. One time, she had a huge bruise on her leg where she fell in the kitchen, a scrape on her nose from falling off my sister's chair when my niece was watching her and a bruise around her eye where the eldest accidentally hit her with a toy. She was a sight!

So I guess the saying should be..."Little ones, will be little ones" :)

No kidding Kerri!

My girl gets just about as many bangs as any one of my boys. Nugget is the one who ends up with more 'mystery bumps' He had a scratch on his forehead once, no idea how it got there. It no more healed and it happened. He had no idea how that one got there either. LOL Then there's the time he wiped out whizzing around the cul-de-sac on his race bike...have y'all seen those bikes and their tires? Reeeeally skinny and slick. Pair that with good speed, sharp turn and just enough road dust...yuh. He had a nice black eye from that one..and skinned knees, elbows and hands.

But the girl..she's clumsy on top of being a tomboy hehe Yeah, those two pair nicely don't they? LOL

Kids. Gotta love it! When my kids are banged up it means they are playing...having fun...being adventurous. That's exactly what I want. :)

Yeah my girls are both adventurous and daring with a touch of clumsy built in. Had to move their dresser into the closet because they kept pulling E's mattress in front of it and climbing up and jumping off. There is no more jumping in the house, period, because they think they are figure skaters and keep trying to do a triple lutz-in their slippers. They have numerous bruises on their legs. Today, E gave herself a knot on the head when she climbed on a bar stool and jumped off. I just chuckle when someone says it's a boy thing cause here it's a Moore thing. But like T said I'm glad that they are having fun.

We've had our share here too. From both ds and dd. The worst was the time Liam was playing in his room with Fiona and was biting his blanket when he fell over (??our best guess....we were in the next room at the time) and ended up having 4 teeth pulled out. Somehow the blanket being in his mouth pulled on his teeth when he fell. We think he was stepping on it too at the time. [whatwacko]
