Im still here - got my second lot of bloods taken yesterday for doc to analyse (is that correct spelling??) so now just waiting for our appointment today at 4.45pm to find out the results and whether we will be induced/c-section (depending on whether bub has dropped which unfortunately my belly doesn't feel any different!!) tomorrow! Kinda feel like it's gonna be late notice not knowing until nearly 5pm tonight if we have to be at hospital bright and early the next day but then I realised that if we went into labour naturally we wouldn't exactly have forewarning either LOL!!!:-D JRBL 08-24-2009, 08:56 PM Well, I'm glad to see you~ I hope that all is well and you have the "okay" to wait it out for baby to come naturally! *BUT* the Lord knows, and HE is ultimately in control! :) I'm still praying for you and your bub! ;) Thanks for the update, I'll be looking for one later! :) 4HisGlory 08-25-2009, 12:43 AM praying for you also, how is bedrest going? leona 08-25-2009, 03:43 AM hi Alison glad to hear that your ok , will be thinking about you and praying also. alidight 08-25-2009, 07:52 AM well - just had my doc appointment which lasted 2 hours!!! We are going to hospital tonight and will be having a c-section tomorrow! My blood's are just starting to go off and my blood pressure has risen yet again to 140/99 (was 134/89 on Thursday...) and my clotting abilities are in the ok range at the moment but are dropping so doc doesn't even want to wait until elective c-section day at our hospital - friday. Am going to be monitored tonight and c-section sometime after lunch time tomorrow. I am a bit nervous and scared but after talking it over with the doctor feel that its the best decision. He said if we tried being induced it would be a difficult labour most likely ending in at least a vaccum delivery if not emergency c-section anyway. He described me (after doing a painful internal!) as a "tight bolt"!! Saying that baby barely is fitting now in my pelvis. She is only 1/5th in my pelvis and my cervix is tight and closed. Ok so ladies - really need your prayer!!!! Pray that I am calm tomorrow and that I can sleep well tonight and be well rested. Pray that everything goes well with no complications. Thanks ladies! Am going to try and take our laptop with our internet to the hospital tomorrow so might be able to update before we go in for surgery. Blessed 2 B Zoe 08-25-2009, 09:57 AM Ali will be thinking and praying for you hun, just think soon you will be able to hold little bundle. JRBL 08-25-2009, 10:23 AM We'll definitely be lifting you up! :) Thanks for the update Allison!! leona 08-25-2009, 10:36 AM Praying for you all[praying] wow you'll be holding your little one soon(exciting) 4HisGlory 08-25-2009, 12:39 PM I had more of the emergency C-section and then my last was scheduled. The scheduled was a lot less stressful, and I was able to do more than with the emergency. Today think about what you want out of your C. I posted my C section birth plan on here before. You can have a say in part, of how your C goes. some things to think about...do you want your hubby to present your baby to you or the nurse? dissolvable sutures are usually better than staples (cleaner looking scar plus you don't have to have them removed) Do you want to see your baby right after they pull her out? they can pull down the drape so you can see her. do you/can you have her in recovery (Here is was 30min to an hour...I wasn't able to due to hospital rules but I have heard other places you can) the dr. cuts the cord but the nurse will make a second cut and place the umbilical plastic clamp on...do you want your dh to make the second cut? A C-section can be just as beautiful as a natural. DON"T BEAT YOURSELF UP about your C-section! don't even let your mind go there!!!!! I had terrible PPD because I did with my first. Take all those negative thoughts captive! Don't be too nervous, but at the same time you probably won't sleep too well. Also with your anesthesia, they can give you things to relax you more, but just know the more meds the give you the drowsier you will be once you are out of surgery. What I did was I told them I wanted as little medicine to make me and my anesthesiologist ok. The spinal isn't too bad so don't be too scared, and once that's in they start giving you other meds through your IV. to calm you and help your tummy. make sure they put your catheter in AFTER your spinal...no use feeling it! sorry this is getting so long... if you want to breastfeed, my Lactation consultant told me to make sure her lips and cheeks touch your upper breast area so she gets your smell and flora on her, it might make breastfeeding a little easier once out of recovery if she can't go with you. also move around as soon as they let you, just make sure you take some pain meds before you do. you are going to be fine! God will be with you and we will be lifting you up in prayers. just think you will be holding your precious girl TOMORROW!!!! Israel 08-25-2009, 01:05 PM You will do great Allison! I also had an emergency c-section after 12 hours of labor. I agree with everything Becky said...it IS just as beautiful to have your baby c-sec...it was the most precious moment of my life!! And it will be yours too, my friend. I am excited for you and anxious to hear about your sweet little one!
