This video is from a Glen Beck program where he reported that the computers of those who log on to the Cash for Clunkers website become property of the government, who then has access to everything on their computer. Watch the video for more info, but my concern is that a healthcare website would do the same thing.

Yesterday, the President was on a conservative radio program. He stated that there would be a website where people could shop for health insurance plans. No way I would want to touch that after what they have done through the Cash for Clunkers site...

This might be an urban legend.

I don't really care whether it was just dealers or not. I have never been involved in any sort of individual or business transaction which would require the federal government owning the property of your computer. I mean come on, that is pretty strong and unnecessary language to merely submit a claim form via the internet.

I will give them the benefit of a doubt though and say it could have been poorly written policy from an unexperienced paralegal or government policy writer. But my book says private businesses have the right to be secure in their property, too.

Thank you for sharing that information, Madre. It is helpful in clarifying, although, I agree with Cheeseburger.
