Hi- I'm new here. I have a 6 week old baby girl. She still sleeps a lot. She is awake for an hour here & there. Once in a while she will be awake for 3 hours in the morning. Anyone else with 6 week girl? What is yours doing? Mine cannot hold her head up very good yet. She will smile at her sister sometimes when she sings to her.

Hi! My little girl is still baking in my belly, so I don't have a newborn - yet! I do have two boys, 2 and 4, who were newborns what feels like forever ago.

It is so sweet in the beginning when they just sleep and snuggle and look at their world all wide-eyed. That is nice that she smiles when her sister sings to her [heart]

I have an almost 5 week old girl. She is still sleeping alot too. I have noticed more wakeful times during the day, smae as you metioned. She still has a pretty bobbly head too. She has started to show signs of wanting to smile but we still haven't got that big huge smile, hopefully soon! She isn't making alot of noises yet either. She pretty much just sleeps and cries :) She eats every 3 hours usually, occasionally she will go 4 or she will be starving after 2.

Our girl is just 2 1/2 weeks. But she is pretty alert for her age and even tries to hold her head more. The nurses noticed her strong neck at the hospital! :) But our little girl was born at 6 lbs 14 oz, so not much bigger than your little one.

My little girl will be 3 weeks on Sunday. She sleeps a lot too, but is having longer awake times now. She actually holds her head up well for only being 3 weeks, but all of my children have been very strong. My other daughter was walking at 8 1/2 months. welcome to the group by the way, i am not on here as often as some of the other ladies but i love it!!

Welcome! I have an 11 week year old girl. She can hold her head pretty well now, and on tummy time pushes up. her alert times are getting longer and longer. I hope you enjoy this board, it is such a wonderful group of ladies and always ready to answer you questions
