Hi ladies,

I just thought I'd introduce myself over here on the babies board, since I've mostly only lurked here. I keep going to the pg board and remembering I'm not pg anymore! :)

Well, for those of you that don't know me, my name is Michelle and my DH and I just had our first daughter two weeks ago. We are so in love! Grace Elizabeth was born on August 1 - healthy and full term! We had a bumpy pg but the Lord sustained us (as He promised!). And here we are!

We are cloth diapering and breastfeeding. I'm trying to get into baby wearing... as I just love the idea. But I'm having a hard time with our Moby. We just got it this week and I don't feel comfortable not having my arms around her still. Not sure if it's the wrap not feeling secure or me just getting used to it. Anyway... things are going well over all.

OK... so that's us. I just wanted to jump in and say hi. :)

Congratulations! I practiced with my moby on a doll before I practiced with the baby. This is the hold I was always most comfortable with:

Congratulations on your sweet little Grace! I can't wait to see pictures.

For my babies, I loved slings for the newborn stage because they could lay down in them. But at any rate, by 3 or 4 months they gain more head control and things aren't so fragile and scary. :)

Once again congrats Michelle! Can't wait to join you over here in a few weeks/days!

Ohhh you have a moby! I really want one of those! A friend actually sent me instructions of how to make your own so am going to try that as it will save about $70!! Hope you feel a bit more comfortable wearing Grace soon - I never thought about what it would be like not having your arms around her even though she was in the wrap - would be a bit daunting for awhile I guess!
