When I was pregnant back in February, my OB/GYN prescribed me Lovaza (omega-3-acid ethyl esters) capsules. She said it's becoming more standard to prescribe this during pregnancy. Anyway, this stuff is EXPENSIVE! 120 capsules would cost me over $100 and you are supposed to take them twice per day! The pharmacist said there was nothing equivalent to Lovaza and that is very potent and good.

So, my question is... Does anyone know of something similar to Lovaza? What have you or are you taking??

TIA!

i don't know if this is the exact same thing but there is Fish oil supplements too and we get them at Aldi's for about $4 for a big bottle. They also have them at WalMart.
Hope that helps some :)

I have been taking this. I just buy it at our local health food store. It is about $20 a bottle, and I have bought maybe 3 since ttc and being pregnant.
