Abigail loves to play in our sandbox which is fine with me. However, I need ideas on how to keep sand out of her clothes and her bringing tons of sand inside with her. It even gets down the back of her diaper!!! I'm wondering if putting an old dress or a long shirt would work?? Any ideas? Right now I have to strip her down, shake sand out of her clothes, brush sand off her, let her in, put on clean clothes and if it's after supper it might also mean a dip in the tub to clean her up!

no ideas here - we do the same thing with Shaelyn...she has sand in her hair, clothes, on her face and every other place you could imagine! usually ends up in a bath...

No help from me I'm afraid. We had the same problem, and with me being the housecleaning fool I am, we ended up getting rid of the sandbox. :-D We allowed the kids to play in the dirt/sand when they were old enough to know to keep it out of the hair and mouth, and they were able to clean themselves off before coming in the house. Good luck, dahling!

We don't have a sandbox, but I have the same problem with my youngest son when we get home from the beach. Last time I was picking sand out of his little curls for days - it got stuck in between his curls and scalp and even with combing and washing some little grains hid from me.

I perhaps am not seeing the problem... (and I'm not trying to be pretentious)- but wipe off sand with swiping hand- strip off clothing if necessary- change diaper and bath in evening... I'm not a housekeeping diva, but the benefits of outdoor sand play far outweigh the dirt issue- at least in my books.
