Isaiah has always been really open with me. Latley he's been kinda quite :(
Everyone's telling me it's his age! I don't know, I miss him [crysad] He's so busy with football twice a day & hanging with friends. By the time he gets home he showers, eats & goes to bed.

I have a sixteen yr old boy, too! I think our situations are probably quite different cuz my kidlets are homeschooled, so there's no busy outside of the house schedule to steal them away.

How 'bout finding a way to spend time alone with your boy once a week? Maybe a special date each week. I take my boy out, just the two of us, at least twice a week cuz he needs adult conversation. How about having a scheduled late night ice cream sundae date at the kitchen table on a set night each week, or just surprise him when he gets home? Or surprise him and take him out someplace that's open late. Maybe make it a priority to surprise him with special time for the two of you once a week. Pray and ask the Lord for good ideas that would bless your son. I bet he'll open up when the two of you are relaxing and having fun together, just being yourselves and not talking about chores and homework.

Blessings, sister!

Isaiah & I chatted...he's not got a problem w/ me and he's sorry for the way he's been, CLOSED UP he says he's been thinking about his sister Rachel.
He's happy for the baby and all but he don't want her to marry and leave the house. He's gonna miss her, they are very close.
I told him it'll be fine, she's in God's hands...PTL he's a good guy puts God 1st. What more could you have wanted for you sister.

Oh my goodness! Scotty has expressed the same feelings to me! He says he wishes we could have more babies, but only if they could all be girls because he loves being the only son/brother/grandson. I don't blame him, either. It's a very special role! [lovesmile]

Anyway, yeah... Your poor baby. I totally understand what he's feeling. [hug] Now he'll see how good it feels to be looked up to by a little guy who idolizes him and wants to be just like him. I bet he'll find that to be a wonderful feeling!! [heartbeat]
