Okay, so baby Owen has found a new fun place to lay this past weekend...on some major nerve! Maybe siatic?? Anyway, it's not constant though...like he only puts pressure on it on and off and it's fleeting thank God....but when he hits it, it is enough to bring you to your knees in pain--like a knife in my left butt cheek and hip and somtimes across my stomach some--only lasts a few seconds luckily....
Anyone else had anything like this? If so...what is it!? Yipes!

Sounds def. like your sciatic. DD sat on mine for about 3 months. My midwife sent me for therapy... yea right like I had time for therapy. Then she was going to give me a t.e.n.s. unit, but they thought it might put me into pre-term labor.

The best advice is to keep one foot elevated while standing. Have dh push on the spot & I would put a heating pad or ice and it would make the baby move (at least for a little while)... this too shall pass!!

Hugs!!

I know exactly how you feel. Both of my girls when I was preg with each of them that seemed to be their fav place to hang out on my sciatic nerve. Sometimes a warm bath would help and what really felt good was to have hubby rub my hip or even my butt cheek.....lol TMI but it really helped. Praying that your pain will lessen and baby finds a new spot to hang out for a while.

mm hmm
My chiro is the only thing that can get me through my pregnancies now without horrendous pain in that area. It's like the test says "+" and my back goes LOL

If you're feeling it shoot into your bum and legs you need to seek treatment asap to prevent damage.
Chiro treatment is quite simple for it.
Mine was so bad the first time that I had to receive ultrasound treatment in the entire left buttock area and down my thigh a bit. After that was cleared up, regular adjustments kept on top of things.
