I don't know if this is on this forum or not[whatthink], but it would be really cool if we had an alphabetical order of members and an introduction to themselves. I am trying to get to know everybody here and I really don't know any background to anybody. On another forum I belong to there is a section that says "Member Introductions" and then a thread titled "Introductions from members from A - M" then another one that says "Introductions from members from N - Z". And then everybody replies to the appropriate thread according to their first letter of their username and writes a short paragraph about them!! It's so handy and easier to get to know everybody!!!
I will give you mine for example!

My name is Sarah, and I am from Ontario Canada.
I have been married to the love of my life for almost 10 years (Oct. 99)
I have a son aged 7 1/2, a daughter aged 5 1/2 and another son who is 3 years old. I have been a foster mom to two siblings for the past 4 years who are 6 and 5. I am a work at home mom and run an in home daycare out of my house for the past 4 years. Before that I worked full time at a car dealership in the service department for 7 1/2 years.
I enjoy outdoor activities like camping, canoeing, and hiking. I love love love to travel and can't wait for our upcoming trip to Tenessee. I am not sure that I will live here in Ontario all my life, and would love to live somewhere else for a few years, like BC, and then maybe come back to Ontario.

I am currently an elementary science teacher off for the summer (whoo-hoo) but really praying not to return to work after the birth of this new one.
I have 2 boys, A who is 4 (will be 5 in Sept) and S who is 2. Big A is my dh and my boys are handsome just like daddy [couplekissing] *swoon*

What do I like to do? I have really been enjoying reading/studying the Bible alot lately which is good bec for a long while I was not reading it as often as I should. I cannot wait to go swimming with the boys, I like to read books when I can. This summer is mostly devoted to giving my home a much needed clean-out and overhaul.

I think it would have to be an admin or moderator who would constantly edit and sort it out....which could be a huge pain in the butt!! I think it would also have to be a "pinned topic" so that whenever somebody came into the Introduction section of the forums, it would be at the top...kwim???

My name is Ruth and I live in southern Michigan with my husband and two kids. Hannah will be three in August and Micah is 4.5 months. My husband is an IT administrator at a small Christian publishing house.

Let's see, what else, I'm 27 years old and an SAHM. I'm really into natural living, such as natural green cleaners and household products, homebirth, extended nursing, cloth diapers, etc. etc.

One of our interests is debt free living. We became fully debt free in November of last year and love to share the principles with others wherever possible. We're big fans of Dave Ramsey.

I've been more faithful with keeping up with my garden this year and am enjoying the results. We live in a small rented house out in the country.

I got married young (going on 10 yr!) and wanted to be a wife and mom and homemaker. So starting C'mom's in 2001 seemed to be a perfect fit. Then I never got pregnant! As you can imagine, people are surprised to find out the founding Admin isn't a mom. You'll find me in the TTC forum a lot now because I'm treating every cycle like it was the first we've tried... just to save my sanity. Haven't given up.

I'm Kim and I live in Alberta. Born and raised in Calgary actually....didn't live anywhere else until dh needed to get his Masters degree in Toronto, and then while we did move back to Alberta, we are in a small town now. :D I am a trained teacher, but am currently a SAHM. Anywho, I just turned 36. I am helpmeet to my wonderful hubby Rickie and we have three kids we homeschool. Rae is my way too soon to be a teen daughter who is on fire for Christ. We have two boys, B who is 10 and Nick who is 8. My middle son is an autism survivor. The boys are big into Royal Rangers. Hubby owns a polymer company, is a Children's Pastor and a truck driver - yes we do manage to have lots of time together =)

I work part-time as our church administrator. I love my job - I make my own hours and do things on my own time here. Works well for my family & church family.

Hahaha!! Do they have greenhouses there?? My husband is a greenhouse grower, so we are limited to where we can go!! We have good friends that live there and he is a pastor at a church there!! They love it there!

Hi! I'm Mary, mama to Allee, who is approaching 5 and a half years. She started out as my neice, became my foster child, last summer became my permanent foster child. Next fall (2010) I will become her legal guardian forever! :mrgreen:

I became a Christian in March of 2007. My mom's last word to me before she died was "Pray"; it took me a while to figure out what she meant, but 6 weeks later, I gave my life to Christ! He's been taking care of me ever since, and helped make the transition from just me to me and Allee in our own little family a bit easier than it would have been otherwise! We're pretty involved in our church, as they have quickly become our "extended family".

We live near Portland, OR. I work full time as a fmaily practice medical assistant, and also do some "freelance" doula work on the side. I'm anxiously looking forward to going back to school to become a Lactation Consultant in about a year. Eventually, I want to become a homebirthing midwife, but know that the dream needs to wait until I have a husband and/or a lot more help with Allee--can't really take a 5 year old to midwifery school with me! ;) --I figure it may be an endeavor that happens after Allee is a teenager, assuming its in God's plan and not just mine, LOL!

Other than spending time with Allee and at church, we enjoy going out to the duck pond to run around, our local amusement park, and taking in an occasional concert.

I'm Kerri and I live in Northern Ohio with my DH of 8yrs (together for 17 total), our eldest son almost 5 yrs (on Sunday), our middle child/daughter who is 3 and the youngest son who is 21 months.

I am an avid reader (except for manuals...those are just boring;) ). I am also an admitted fabri-holic. I just can't get enough of it, or sewing projects for that matter. It is my catharsis.

I homeschool the 3 oldest and try to keep the little guy out of trouble. We were both saved as children. He came from a very good Christian family and I had a very difficult childhood. It makes me apprecate the wonderful life and family I have now. Hubby says I have an adventurous streak as I trained in law enforcement in my late teens and when that made him to nervous I got a nice safe job working at the zoo with big cats. Don't really see how that didn't bother him but it didn't (too much anyway!) Then I have been a stay at home mom since the oldest was born.

Hi! My name is Kathie, and I'm a 35-year-old WAH mom of 5 (ages 11, 9, 7, 5 and almost 3 months). We also have 2 dogs, 4 chickens, and a partridge in a pear tree, or actually a Cooper's hawk in a Jack pine that tries to eat our chickens, but close enough! My sweet hubby and I have been together since we were 14 and married since we were 20. I am so thankful for him, as he keeps me sane most of the time. I'm very glad to find a forum of other Christian moms. I don't know about the rest of you, but most of the time I find having kids to be very humbling, especially since #5. We had some fertility issues early in our marriage and were told by 2 different doctors we'd have to go through fertility treatments. We decided not to do that and to trust God instead. Well, God sure showed them! In fact, our last 2 were surprises when we weren't even trying (actually one when we were trying not to)!

I find being a mom to be really crazy quite often. I'm not one of these got-it-together moms. I like to read, but don't have time much anymore for that between the kids and work. I also like to do flower gardening, but again time is lacking. Someday I might have a real hobby, but I don't see that happening for a while.

Anyway, I love my family, and am trying my best to raise these 5 crazy kids to love God and live in a way that pleases Him. Thanks for listening!!!

I'm excited to join this board of Christian Moms! DH & I have been married for about 3-1/2 years and are expecting Baby #1 on Labor Day 2010 [heartbeat] We are super excited and already can't wait to meet "Jake" (as "he" has been nicknamed until we find out if we are having a boy or a girl)
We live in Central Western WI where its always cold! (ok, so I was born & raised in VA so it always feels cold to me at least;)) I am currently working at 2 different Curves as a Circuit Coach and I love my job....but I will be quitting that after July so I can get ready for Jake and I don't plan on going back work.
DH is a logger and loves his job...we are as different as night and day and I'd have to say that's a good thing...lol.
I look forward to getting lots of advice from all you mommies out there:)

I am 26, my hubby and I are eagerly expecting our first, currently 9 weeks in. We are a military family and are grateful that my hubby should be here in the states for the whole pregnancy. Well, I'm Michelle and DH and I have been married for 1 1/2 years now. We got preggo 3 1/2 months into our marriage, so we have a 6 month old daughter! She's the first of many to come, we hope! I have a uterine anomaly that we're praying won't be an issue for future biological kiddos (originally told it won't be a problem just recently found out it's not what they thought it was). In any case, we're planning to adopt at some point as well. Anyway, the Lord knows! And He'll take care of it all. :D

I grew up in sunny Southern California, moved out to blustery, cold Wisconsin to go to college, spent 2 years teaching/praying in beautiful, but spiritually dark Turkey, and then moved back to WI in 2008 to marry my amazing DH! LOTS of changes in a short time... but God is amazing and we've loved it all!

Currently I teach part time as a Title 1 reading teacher. DH is working as much as he can at a restaurant since he lost his job just before our wedding. We're praying and hoping for a new job... any day now would be awesome! ;)

Goodness, so much more to tell... but I'll save it for another time! :) LOVE reading about everyone!!

dont think I have posted here....well anyways names melinda, I am about to be 31, I am a sahm to 4 beautiful boys(all biblical names) they are 9,6,3,1. my family is complete that I know of lol, we say we are done but its up to God I hope one day He has a girl in my future because I would love to know what its like to raise a little girl and besides do feel left out with all the boy stuff going on in my life lol, we live in a secluded area so we have chose with much prayer to put our boys in a small public school so that they may interact with other children their age, they dont offer anything for homeschoolers here and neither does the small churches in our area. I have been married for almost 10yrs now, my husband is my best friend, I have been a sahm since I become pregnant with my 1st, I have been saved pretty much all my life lol my grandparents were pastors so I was raised in church since I was born(they are retired now) I think that pretty much sums me up lol :)

Hello! My name is Kylie, I am 22 and recently married my wonderful husband on July 31st. We just found on out Wednesday that we are having a baby! We are so excited! We have been telling our friends and family the past couple days which has been such a blessing. As far as I know, I am 4 weeks along and the online due date calc. says either December 7th or 9th. Merry Christmas to us! :)

My husband works with autistic and mentally disabled children and is hoping to get a new job soon. His current job is rewarding yet extremely physically, mentally, and emotionally straining. Prayers would be much appreciated for him! I am currently finishing up student teaching and I graduate from Multnomah University in May. I hope to be a teacher someday but with the job market as it is and this new wonderful blessing, it can wait!
