View Full Version : 2ww
I'm in it! :D Although I'm not getting too excited about it this time 'round. I was pretty sick for most of this week and as such BD time was limited. But you never know.
On another note....I've been obsessing about having twins for over a month. I think about it. I dream about it. It pops into my head almost right after BD. [whatwacko] Weird. I'm a twin, but identical, which aren't actually hereditary. To paraphrase what my midwife said, we're freaks of nature. heehee. (What wonderful freaks of nature to be! ) Anyway, I don't have my heart invested in having twins, so I just find it interesting that I can't get having them off my mind. *shrug*
~Tara~ 07-09-2009, 03:09 PM oooooo exciting! :)
ChamomileFriend 07-09-2009, 04:04 PM Whoo-hoo! Will be watching this thread. :-D

Israel 07-09-2009, 09:14 PM I'm right here with you on the 2ww, Kim! I have about 5 days left.
Anyway, twins WOULD be great! Although, the thought of having 1 child and popping to 3 seems so overwhelming...to ME. But I'm sure YOU could do it! Hope it happens for ya, gal!
Thanks, gals! I'm just at the beginning of my two weeks. I wouldn't likely be able to test much before the 21/22. :D
Twins would be great! I would be jumping from 3 to 5 kids if that were the case. The number doesn't overwhelm me, but the thought of two *babies* does a bit. Nothing to worry about right now though in any case. :D
I'm tappin my fingers here, gal... waiting for your 2WW to be over! :)
You too, Israel's mom! :)
plaid 07-10-2009, 03:20 PM Praying for you guys, excited to see. [thumbsupgrin]
Still waiting here, but starting to have those symptoms that drive you crazy....you know...the ones that could be pms but could also be pregnancy? I'm trying not to read into anything too much right now. I *might* break down and test over the weekend if AF doesn't show....after checking the calendar again, I could probably do so a few days earlier than I posted before. Why does this 2ww always take forever??? lol
savedbygrace 07-16-2009, 01:39 PM Waiting along with you!
Jessy 07-16-2009, 04:15 PM I just can't wait to hear! And I totally understand about the 'what symptoms are these?' problem lol.
BlessedMommy 07-16-2009, 08:09 PM Do you have a chart? I could make recommendations on good times to pee on a stick if I saw when you ovulated. ;)
And I highly recommend First Response Early Results for early testing... I've taken about 40 of them... yes, forty... and have only had *ONE* "is that a second line" show up without being pregnant. That's pretty good. Otherwise... it's stark white unless you're pregnant. (except for the control line, of course.) Anywho... I can't wait to see, gal!!!
Hi gals,
What was supposed to be 24hrs in the city ended up turning into 3.5 days. [whatwacko] (All is well, some things just changed that kept us in the city.) In any case, I did POAS and it was a BFN. But there are also no real signs of AF. The few things I noticed last week have kinda disappeared. So who knows.
Ruth...I'm not charting....I'm not even taking my temps. I know doing that would certainly help, but I just can't be bothered with that yet. lol. But thanks for offering!
Jen...I still have a couple of those really cheap tests that I bought online. I have no idea how they rate in terms of accuracy, etc. but since that's what I had that is what I used. When I bought tests locally, I usually did buy First Response, but they are more than $10 a piece, hence buying the cheapies online.
So, all that to say.....STILL waiting! :D
PianoMama 07-20-2009, 03:42 PM praying for you, Kim! when did/do you expect AF to show up?

Glad to hear you're doing okay... I found the FRER's at WM, 12 bucks for two or three, I forget which... so not too horrible. The internet cheapies tend to give you mad evaps, don't they? I know a lot of gals over at Fertility Friend who use them and they frustrate the daylights out of them because of the evaps. Many women never get a true dark positive on them, too. I guess you get what you pay for, in that area, anyway.
I'm still watching you! When do you expect AF to arrive, or rather, when is she due???
When do you expect AF to arrive, or rather, when is she due???
Any day now....I'm on day 29 today. In the past, I've always had a 29-31 day cycle. But like I said, no real "pms" issues at the moment so I don't know what to think. If AF doesn't show by the weekend, I'll probably cave and go to Walmart to get the FRER. :)
Oy! The wait is killin' me! ;)
Oy! The wait is killin' me! ;)
It's killing you?????? [whatwacko] lol Still no sign of AF.....if I can get to walmart today I may pick up a test for tomorrow or Friday.
Any chance my cycle came back last month but is going on hiatus this month??
Your little guy is still nursing?? I know up until Eliya was absolutely *not* nursing my cycles were still a tad unpredictable. Hopefully you'll get an answer *soon*. I know being up in the air is harder than accepting an answer you didn't exactly hope for. big hugs gal~
tripper 07-22-2009, 07:19 PM Hang in there, Kim! You'll be able to test again soon enough...
Praying for ya! [lovesmile][lovesmile][lovesmile]
Thanks gals. I'm actually not really stressed about it. What will be, will be. I did get to walmart to buy a test today. I think the biggest thing that I'm wrapping my brain around is that the female body is a confusing thing. [whatwacko] heehee At this point I actually doubt I am preggers. But I'll POAS anyway, because I am a closet POAS addict - like you, Jen! haha. Well, maybe not *just* like you, but I do go through a lot of tests when we are TTC.

::snort:: *Thanks* ::snort::
Would you believe I FORGOT to POAS this morning??? [rofl]
savedbygrace 07-23-2009, 05:34 PM How dare you forget????
:-D
I know for myself, when I was nursing Joey still there were a couple of months when I was a week or almost two late. If you can look back to around the time you O'd, can you remember any extra stress, colds or anything that may delay Oing? Even middle of the night waking to feed can cause delayed ovulation.
But I agree that our bodies are a great great mystery!
I did get sick that week, so that likely was the culprit.
Forgot to answer your question Jen - yes I am still nursing Callum. Tested and got a BFN so likely my cycle is wonky. Now to wait until I can recognize what stage of the game my body is at again as still no sign of AF.....
Nevermind....AF showed up tonight (no cramping or anything so far....weird) so we're starting over! :D
rachel 07-25-2009, 10:42 PM :( Whacky cycles make it so much harder. Hope they cycle regular for ya soon.
Wow... AF out of the blue, eh? I've had a few of those, and they are *weird*. Hope you get it next cycle! :)
