Well, I got my fetal doppler in the mail! I should be able to pick up babe's heart beat around 10 weeks! Woo hoo! I'm going to give it a shot tonight, see how it does, but I'm just now only eight weeks, so I'm not expecting anything. I did a quick dry run earlier and heard nothing... but I'm going to try for a full bladder and use the squeezy stuff this time around. ::snort:: Either way, this month I'll be able to use it! YaY!

It came with a neat cord so I can record or simply listen through the PC. Neat stuff, I tell ya! Seeing as we aren't *planning* on this being our last, I consider it an "investment". I know it has no real "purpose" besides just giving me peace of mind between appointments... but I think it's too cool that I can put this thing on my belly and hear a baby's heartbeat. KWIM?

Anywho... I just had to share as I think it's the coolest thing ever~

I personally like the old fashion way of two cups and a piece of string:razz: J/k.

So cool that you will be able to hear the heartbeat soon.

I loved having a doppler. I just used regular ky or astroglide and it worked well. I had a hard time hearing the hb at ten weeks but i think it's because of my tipped uterus. the midwife couldnt pick it up either with hers. But by 12 weeks I could easily pick it up! I still love just listening to the sound of her heartbeat, even though I feel her as well! have fun with it!

thats very cool, there were times in my pregnancy that I wished I could hear that little heartbeat to put my mind at ease
