View Full Version : 7 Weeks down...
Wow! I'm in my "eighth" week of pregnancy! Wowzas! Doesn't my chance of m/c drop drastically after this week? I forget. Anyways, I haven't had anymore spotting... and I've been seeeerrriously nauseated, actually throwing up, so that has helped ease my mind quite a bit. Nothing says "growing baby" like hugging a pot and heaving into it. So, in that aspect I'm feeling GREAT! I'd much rather be hurling than spotting! :D
My regular jeans "fit" but are so uncomfortable that I just don't wear them. I'm into my elastic waist skirts, maternity dresses and maternity jeans. Already. wow.... My mom said it was that way for her when she got pregnant with me. I think maybe the more children you have the more "relaxed" all those muscles get, and they just know what to do? I dunno. Either way. I feel like my belly will be HUGE this time around, which i'm actually looking forward to since I don't typically show until six months!
How are all you other momma's doing?? What's your biggest discomfort and your greatest joy right now??
mom2pbj 06-23-2009, 12:41 PM Hey Jen! Glad to hear things are going good for you! 8 weeks already, that is awesome :)
I am doing good, will be 36 weeks tomorrow! I still can't believe it, seems like just yesterday we were hoping and praying for this little miracle to be and she is almost here! The official countdown has begun at the house. We used the baby links and hung them in the kitchen and one of the kiddos takes one down each day....it keeps getting shorter......only 22 days until we get to meet our little girl!
My biggest discomfort right now is the heat, it is very hot and humid here and will be for the next week or so! It was already 83 and 8am and felt like 92, just takes my breath away when I go outside!
My biggest joy right now is feeling this little girl bounce all around! She is very active! I act like I don't like it sometimes because it hurts but I truly love that reassurance of her movements!
There are days when I wish I could just be pregnant forever, it is such an awesome gift and a wonderful feeling but on hot days like this not so much.
I really do hope and pray that this isn't it for us and that the road to the next one isn't as difficult! Praying that everyone else is doing well ;)
Wow Heather 36 weeks already!!! Boy does it go fast. Not long til you meet your little girl:)
Jen, you crack me up. Hugging a pot and heaving into it is no fun, but you're right it's very reassuring.
I'll be 26wks on Thurs, yikes!!! My biggest discomfort would be the heat. It is so hot over here just now, ok not as hot as the US but for Scotland it's pretty hot (it's in the 60's and I'm sweating...LOL). My biggest joy would be my bump and feel this baby doing the Hokey Pokey inside. I just feel so beautiful and I'm so proud of my bump. Which is a lot different to how I felt a few weeks ago. And I'm loving the movement. Abby has gotten to feel the baby kick a few times and she loved it. I'm just loving being pregnant and I don't want it to end but at the same time I want to meet my baby.

Awwwwww, Eva! I'm so glad you're enjoying your pregnancy so much!!! It's awesome to hear *another* mom say how much she enjoys being pregnant! :D
I can't believe how far along you two are! I feel like it wasn't that long ago you both announced your pregnancies! Oy vey women! :)
PianoMama 06-23-2009, 03:03 PM Yay for babies!! Heather and Eva ~ do you have name possibilities? Would love to hear 'em. Sorry if you said them before!

I've never said mine. Wondering if I should still keep it quiet or whether I should spill. Tis fun to leave people in suspense....LOL!
PianoMama 06-23-2009, 03:48 PM NOOOOoooo - tell us!!

Ok ok, those these could totally change.
If it's a girl I think it will definately be:
Lydia Elizabeth
And if it's a boy it will either be:
Isaac or Josiah
We were set on Isaac but now I'm not so sure if I like it as much (I'm way to fickle). So we are still chatting about it. I quite like the idea of throwing all our favorite names into a hat and picking one....LOL. But dh is scared that we will pick Elijah (which is my fave name) instead of one he likes more. Yeah, so really anything can change but that's what we've come up with so far.
Your names are sweet, Eva! I like the name Elizabeth, that's my sister's name! :) I would use it myself, but we already have one daughter named after my other sister! ::Snort:: I love your boy names, too! Especially Josiah! Great names, momma! Thanks for spillin'! ;)
ChamomileFriend 06-23-2009, 06:01 PM I like those names, Eva.
I am glad everyone is feeling good about being pg, even if they are "hugging the pot".
I can't believe we are more than halfway there. It is so crazy to think of how tiny my boys were when they were born and see how much my little men have grown and how their personalities have blossomed already in just a few short years. I can't wait to meet this one and see how s/he adds to our joy. In no time I will have 3 sweet babies running around and climbing on mama. And I'll get that new baby smell again, hooray!
