View Full Version : question
I have a non christian friend. Who posed this question for me. I want to present the truth to her but in the correct manner
1. The old pastor made me sound like I'm a bad person for not going to church and that I will not go to heaven because I don't.
How should I present this to her by telling her the truth but not sounding judgmental or harsh

Many who sit in church will not go to heaven. :( It is not about what you do. It is not about your good works. Our good works are as filthy rags. It is about your heart.
It is about your relationship to Jesus Christ. Getting into heaven is surely about WHO you know. Not just that you know OF Him, but that you KNOW HIM and He knows you. It is a true relationship involving talking to and praying to and loving Him, and reading His spoken Word( the Bible) to know Him more and more. It is about knowing that He died for your sins and that they are forgiven. It is knowing that you are a wretched sinner and the only ticket to God's throne is through the blood of Jesus Christ. His perfect life to replace your imperfect one and His death to take your due punishment of death because of your sin. It is knowing this and loving Him because of it! This is what gets you into heaven.
thanks. I will write that back in my letter. I appreciate your help.
