I don't wear Azalia very often. I did a lot more when she was nb... at the grocery store, over to the park, at home to get housework done. Now its just pretty much anytime she's feeling clingy, which isn't very often, lol.

It used to be any time we were away from home as well as at home when especially whiny/clingy. Now, it's longer outings/walks. And then I sometimes alternate bebe and 3 yr old...just cuz 3 yr old thinks it's neat LOL

If we are out and about, it's easy to wear Micah on my back and be hands free to hold Abby's hand while walking. I wore Micah on my back tonight to get him to sleep. With a NB i wear quite a lot. I wear them a lot at home and always when we go out of the house. We don't own a stroller.

With an infant, alot- it is the only way I can get anything done around the house. When they are older then just when we go out for a walk or to a party or shopping. I actually haven't worn little ds in months and months. Now we usually just use a stroller for him or he walks. I could wear him in the Ergo if I needed to.

So neat to hear what you all do! When Shaelyn was born I was quite new to babywearing...as she's gotten older, I've found that I seem to wear her more! LOL! I've worn her going for walks, just her and me - such a special time to talk with her...love it. Of course making dinner to keep her happy with being near me and not underfoot (literally!) I've worn her in the Mai Tai on my back to teach piano lessons AND (get this) to play guitar for praise team rehearsals! It's quite a sight to see me with her strapped on my back and a guitar on my front!!! Can you imagine it? hehe...

Side note: I made my sil a ring sling for her new little one and showed her how to use it today! She love it!! I'm so excited...If she continues to use it, I'll probably try to make her a Mai Tei for Christmas...I'll be coming to you all for help!

Thanks for chiming in ~

When they are newborns I wear them in the ring sling, that way I can just nurse as I'm doing chores or if we're out doing errands. The ring sling was really great up until Eliya hit about 8 months and then she was just throwing my back out of alignment; probably my fault in how I put it on rather than the overall design of the sling.

I just got a Mei Tai and LOVE it! So does Eliya! She especially loves being in the front, facing out! She likes riding on my back, too, though. I love actually wearing our babies, there's just something so "connected" about it. Especially when they are infants. :)
