Callum was eight months on the 13th and he has been mobile for a week already! Ack! lol He is younger than my other two when they became mobile. :D It's funny actually....he doesn't 'crawl' per se, it's more of a 'gorilla walk' as I call it on one knee and one foot. That combined with his new found ability to get from lying on his tummy to sitting up means we have a fully mobile baby!

Hey Kim,

Rebekah, who is a few days older than Callum, just started crawling all over the place this week too. It has been a learnng experience for me. I'm having to re-arrange all of the things we just moved into the new house. Oh well! It's nice she's a little bit more independent. Enjoy!

Too Cute, Kim! I wonder if the earlier mobility has to do with having two older siblings? I think that often times the younger sibs always want to do what they see the olders doing and therefor start crawling/walking/talking a bit sooner.

Sorry about the hijack there, congrats on the mobile baby! ;)

The modified crawl makes me smile every time. Liam did the "gorilla walk" too for a short time. Too funny! :D

Jessy...who knows? It certainly could be part of the reason...Callum is so motivated to move, and much happier the last few days to be able to move more freely. But amidst all the excitement, there is still a small part of me that is saying....and now the real discipline must begin. ugh. lol. It's all good though! Liam watches him and is always telling me "Mom, he crawled again! He moved one more time! He got up by himself!" and the like. He's a proud big brother. :D

It is nice how much happier it makes them! Timmy always wanted to do more too, he started crawling at 6 1/2 months, and it was nice in a lot of ways, instead of having to hold him all the time he would just crawl after me, wherever I went, it was soo cute! Love the crawling stage! :-D
