View Full Version : I'm not TTC, but maybe you girls would know.....

I figure this is where the charting gals hang out- :)

I'm not TTC or even charting, but this week I'm having lots of noticeable EWCM and breast tenderness- not things I usually notice. Does this mean AF is coming or....oh I'm afraid to type it.....could it mean a little "oops" as well? Or does it mean nothing?

Thanks ladies!

EWCM generally means you're getting ready to ovulate. If trying to conceive, this is the best time to do it.

Yeppers, it sounds like you are about to ovulate! If you are not TTC you should avoid BD and/or take extra precautions.

Well, me personally, I have had EWCM (while taking EPO) every cycle around ovulation and then before AF shows. I would have MORE before AF than I would around Ovulation. Also... I noticed it this time too when I got my BFP. So, it didn't change even with the change in hormones. The breast tenderness is interesting. I typically only have tender breasts during early pg, but that's me. Do you know when AF should arrive? I'll be watching ya! ;)

I get EWCM in abundance a couple days before AF is due (almost as much as before/when I ovulate). I think since it is out of the ordinary for you it could mean something different....hmmm, not sure what though.

No news....we did have a few, ahem, romantic moments in the last week, so who knows? [lovesmile] I'm not sure when AF is due, because I've been pretty irregular the last 18 months or so.....my first day of LMP was 5/23, if that helps...but I don't know much about charting.

We'll see! :-D

if you were having a 28 day cycle, your next AF would begin on 6/20...
but, like you said no 'regular' cycles...
how do you feel about the possibility of #4? ;-)

I'm having some lower left-side pain today, the kind that I usually think of as ovulatory....so who knows?

How do I feel about the possibility of #4?
Hmm....we've been waffling about this for a long time....we've tentatively decided to be done and save up for the vas. I think I would be a little nervous but very happy- in my heart I've never felt "done."

Trying not to hope either way! :)

Understandable about trying not to hope either way~ I always can't help but feel excited every time I think I might possibly be pregnant. Have you thought about taking an ovulatory predictor test? I used to pick up a pack of 20 for 17 bucks at WM, but they do have cheaper packs. It was always helpful to know when I was going to be ovulating. ;) I sure will be watching your posts!! :)

Just waaaaaiting.....still sore breasts, but that's it. Thinking AF would be here within a week or so if I'm going to be semi-regular. So when would I test if I were going to? [whatscratchinghead]

Hhhmmm... when you consider yourself "late" I guess. ::shrugs:: Sounds like your cycles are kinda wonky or slightly irregular. [whatthink] I'm watchin ya gal! ;) I can't wait to see how this turns out!

UPDATE-ish......

Went to the doc on Wednesday to have my regular thyroid recheck, so I POS there, and it was negative. Meanwhile, still sore breasts and no AF.

And then this morning I posted on Facebook that cutting up raw chicken before breakfast was nauseating me, which didn't strike me as anything until Tara saw my post and started fluttering her eyelashes meaningfully at me. [whateeeeeksign]

I DON'T KNOW, GIRLS!!!!!!

Will ya just get a FRER (First Response Early Results). If it has ANY semblance of a second line, you're pregnant. ;)

Those are good for late testing... but not for early "sure thing" testing. Over at fertility friend all the POAS addicts use the FRERs for early testing since it doesn't have evaps and such. Or at least, they are VERY rare. The dollar tree tests almost always have a second line. ::shrugs:: I hope you can get some clear answers Mel!

I've had excellent results with dollar store tests...

I used 2 of them this week due to a 'scare' and both neg. I was 2 weeks late for AF. Then yesterday, AF started.
