Almost anyway.. she has been taking her first steps for a couple weeks now (she would take a few steps and then squat to regain balance or just chicken out and and drop to her bottom) but last night she walked half way across the kitchen! She's still tottering quite a bit but she's getting it. This is the age and the way Gabriella started out too... gradually over a few weeks until she perfected it around 9 months old. Brooke and Lawson both waited until they were confident they wouldn't fall on their bottoms and then just took off running... Brooke at 11 months, Lawson at 10 months. I think I liked their careful approach better.. less injuries, lol. In the past couple weeks Azalia's got more bumps and bruises then I can keep track of. Annnyway.. if I can figure out how I'll share a video of her 'walking' later today. :mrgreen:

That is wonderful - congrats! It is so exciting when they reach milestones like that.

Awww Azalia is 9 months!!! Goodness we need refresh pics of all cmom babies here! I can't believe she is walking, that is great, well I guess the bumps are hard for a mommy to take sometimes too.

They seem so much happier when they can walk I always thought with my gang.

She's not 9 months yet Renee.. in a couple weeks she will be. And yes she will be happy to be able to keep up with her siblings better.

oh wow how cute is she, Sinead walked at 8 months then decided that it was too much hard work. Then at 10 months she walked crawled and ran lol.

Way to go on reaching the milestone.

Abby started walking on Christmas Day and she was 10 months and Josiah just started walking on his own this past friday on dh birthday and he's 11 months :-D

That is great! Israel was 7 months when he first started taking steps, so I know how scary it can be to see such a small babe take off and topple over. But you are right, they ARE much happier when they get to this milestone so I just kept helping him along and he never stopped after that. However, it can be bitter-sweet, huh? They just don't seem as much of a baby once they start walking.
