So what are your plans for the kids this summer? I find it difficult to keep everyone amused. My oldest moved out today. Second oldest is 14 and I'm not sure what she'll do this summer. Would like to get a job but most places won't hire her until she is 15. Third one is 11, a boy, very energetic. Last is 6, also a boy, also very energetic. Think it's a boy thing. And if they get bored, you better look out. :-D Got some holidays planned, swimming lessons for one week, but other than that, I'm not sure.

Ya know, I know thru the years Ive gone on and on about how they drive me crazy, which they do, mine are 10 yo twin girls, and an 8yo boy, they really do and always have driven me nuts[whatwacko], but I DO love the summer holidays. I really really do love having them home. We just spend a lot of time hanging out, taking walks, baking on rainy days, spending a lot of time together. Thats what I love about the summer holidays.

We didn't paln any summer vacation this year. We'll just hit local spots, California Great America, Six Flags Marine World, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, San Francisco & Movies.
Joy, my son wants to work too with him being 16 not many places will hire him, he can't work though with football taking up his time. He goes at 11am break then back at 5pm.
Gen, we go to a park near us that's real fun and have a game of basketball, hit some baseballs play tennis and hike around. THAT'S FUN FAMILY TIME!!!

Hi and welcome, I don't think I gave you the proper welcome yet to our boards.
We have kids about the same age. My oldest of 5 will be in 11th grade next year and my second in line will be in 8th. These teen years sure did send me for a loop, wow puberty is so vastly different than potty training.
Our 3 youngins are will be in grades 4, 1, and well my only girl is 4 I'm not schooling her yet.
Have fun and enjoy your summer!

Renee thank you for the welcome ;)
They grow so fast! Our summers are really different seeing our oldest 2 work and trying to squeeze vacation for days for them is tough. Looks like everyone wants to do some sort of trip now[whatwacko] I'm now searching for a fun spot on short notice.
