How are all you pregnant gals here? My sister, her husband and their two kids went over to my parent's house for dinner tonight, so it's quiet here right now! Ha! What are you all doing and how are you feeling? I've still been having quite a bit of nausea but I welcome it with open arms as it means my hormone levels are GOOD and strong and UP! YaY!

What bugs me sliiiiightly is that my pants are tight in the waist already. I'm chocking this up to water retention. Oy. My clothes are getting looser everywhere else, but tighter in the waist. Oy. Anybody invest in a couple of pairs of "real waist" maternity pants for just such a reason? I am so not ready for maternity wear, obviously, but a few more weeks and my regular pants will be uncomfortable. That's just ridiculous.

Anywho... next week I'll be calling the birthing center and setting up my "tour" and then they will schedule my first appointment at that time. This will be my first pregnancy/birth at a birth center! (Lord Willing!!!) I'm soooo excited!!! Alrighty... anyways... gotta get moving here and find something for dinner! Have a great rest of the week! ::hugs::

I don't have any real-waist maternity pants, I just did the hair-tie in the button hole thing and used 2 homemade bella bands plus 1 real one I got from Kerri (Webster5). The homemade ones are here:

It was really easy and helped bec I outgrew my pants REALLY early this time.

My nausea finally seems to have subsided - PTL! Just some smells make me run away but that is normal. My next appt with the midwife is next wed and finally then I can make the appt for my big 2nd trimester u/s which I am really looking forward to. This baby feels so tiny, I don't remember my boys ever feeling so small, but I guess they all were at some point.

I am thinking about calling another midwife group bec I am not feeling too good about the hospital this birthing center is affiliated with. I don't think I will need any hospital care, but just in case i do I want to feel good about the hospital.

I have a appointment on thursday morning. My iron is low and I definately feel the effects of it. I'm 15 weeks and I still don't feel the "second trimester" boost!
what I thought was movement earlier on in my pregnancy must have been gas, because I haven't felt any movement at all.[sadashamed]

I have been checking the heart beat and it's been between 145 and 155. It's a comfort to hear the heart beating of my little bean.
I haven't felt really nauseous, unless i don't eat often. I 've been trying to eat constant throughout the day, and drink plenty of water.

I think I have gained like 3 lbs. which is not too bad at all. But we'll see how things progress LOL

I'm doing good. Almost 24wks![clapping] My next MW appt is this Friday and Abby is coming with me. She kept saying "Mommy I go to the widwife with you and hear the babys beat"....too cute! She is so excited about this baby. I'm feeling lots of movement, most of it has been low and across my lower abdomen so I think sprout has been lying low and transverse. But today I felt a kick to the side of my belly button so I think baby moved for a little while. Now I feel it low again. I think sprout is having fun moving all over in there.

I'm feeling huge and rather self concious. was in the grocery store today and saw a lady I know from Abby's antenatal class, and she asked how far along I was so I said almost 24wks. She dropped her jaw and said "Wow, you're huge! I thought you were about to give birth!" Gee thanks lady, that's so not what a pregnant woman wants to hear. Then she told me that I'd probably be birthing a 10lber, that's also not what a pregnant woman wants to hear. Some people have no tact whatsoever! LOL! Atleast I have a good sense of humor, even though I must say I am a wee bit self concious and feeling huge!

Oh, hon' i'm sorry she said that. I bet you look beautiful. But if it makes you feel any better my friend got pregnant with her 3rd and she was huge right away, and the last tri she pretty much stayed the same size and her baby was just born and he was her smallest baby. just under 8 lbs.
so maybe it will taper off.

I hope that'll be the case:mrgreen: Dh doesn't think I look huge, he actually thinks that I'm smaller than I was with Micah. And he says I'm beautiful and sexy, even though I still feel like a walrus....well without the tusks.....haha.

Hello all! I am 34 weeks today!! Only 5 more weeks to go! I went to the doc on monday and all was well. Didn't gain much, which I was happy with because I have gained plenty thus far! BP was good and I am measuring a little small but doc doesn't seem too concerned about that because all of the u/s have come out measuring fine. This little girl has not slowed down even though there is supposedly less room, she is finding room or just doesn't care :) She gets the hiccups at least 4 times a day and is in constant motion! DH put the crib up over the weekend!!! YEAH! I finally got to do some much needed nesting then! It was so nice because you can only nest so much with non baby things. The kids are getting excited too....when they aren't sick, at least half of them have had bronchitis in the last 2 weeks and hopefully the other half don't get it....I am sick of going to the pediatricians office.
Besides the sickly bunch we are doing well! I am getting tired really easily now and have to sit and take many breaks! Oh, my 4 year old pointed out the other day that my baby is poking out my belly button, so I now pretty much have an outie........means she's almost done cooking in the there :) Here are some pics of the crib and my belly from the weekend.

I love your crib set. It's sooo cute!

yeah, if you start growing tusks I'm gonna have to make a comment LOL
Did you take pics throughout your pregnancy with Micah?
I did with Jo, and I've noticed that i'm a little bit smaller this time and I didn't gain in my face the way I did with Jo.
maybe you can compare your photos. Either way it doesn't matter. Every pregnant woman is beautiful.

Fun to see you posting JRBL! Congratulations on that little bambino. :-D Agreeing with Esther Pregnant bellies are BEAUTIFUL! [pregnantside] Maybe we need shirts that say that to remind *those* people. Sorry someone got you EvaS I have felt self conscious a billion times too. [hug] A JW came to my door the other day and she is due the same time as me and I could not find her belly anywhere as I was standing there feeling like an elephant. :-D Looking great mom2pbj. It is fun to see pics. Glad everyone is doing well! :-D
For me summing up I am wildly impatient!!! I am so so excited to have this baby. I have some perspective hiding in my big toe somewhere I think.

Oh I'm doing well! :D
33 weeks tomorrow!!!!!! And I'm just itching to meet this little girl!! I am constantly thinking about birth and taking care of a newborn... it's frightening and exciting at the same time!

I keep thinking about everything we *need* for her still (like a mattress, cloth diapers, medicines, and allllll that stuff)... but I am resisting buying too much since we have 3 showers coming up in June!!! WOW!!! I know the Lord will bless us with more than just soft blankets and cute onesies, right?! RIGHT!

Anyway, I should go finish cleaning my floors... I was taking a much needed water/entertainment break! :D

Jen ~ will you be finding out boy/girl before birth? I forget what you do...
:-)

Yeah, we typically "try" to find out. This time around we'll only be getting *one* ultrasound, so ONE chance to find out. Ha! It would be hilarious if hub had to wait to know. He's not one for waiting for that kind of thing! ::snort::

I, personally, would LOVE the surprise... even if it was another girl! It would just be neat to have to wait this time around! :)
