Ok I know I am barly crossing the 37 week mark but oh well.
What were some of your things you tried to naturally induce? As of Friday I was not dialated, my cervix and long and thick and I really don't know if I am having ANY BH at all. It would be nice to go to my next week apt and at least have a small amount of change. So what worked/failed for you?

Ugh, ugh, ugh. I so feel you gal. When I was hitting week 42 with Eliya I had tried it alllllllll. I tried Castor Oil, Bouncing on a ball, Eggplant Parmesan (an old wives tale I am convinced), Evening Primrose Oil in the vag. (it *did* seem to help ripen my cervix), BDing, nip stimulation, long hard walks, I think I tried everything that came up in a google search.

The thing that finally worked was me, hub, mil, fil and my parents all gathering around together and praying that God would send me into labor. Next morning. Baboom, I was in labor.

Now this did happen to coincide with me doing the nipple stimulation the night before. I just followed the directions that I found online. It did get some contractions going when I did it, but I read you have to be careful as it can cause REALLY intense contractions... the ones I had the next morning were insanely intense... i didn't think we would make it to the hospital. Oy. Let me know how you progress!

Don't know if it worked or was coincidence but the night before my water broke my dh rubbed a spot on my ankle that is supposed to help bring on labor for about an hour or more. It is on the inside of the ankle about 4 finger widths above the little bone there, you can tell it's the spot because it is a bit tender.

I also spent LOTS of time on the exercise ball which I'm sure helped him drop down and get things going.

Good luck gal, you are getting close!

Yeah, I forgot to mention that... I did hip rotations on the ball and I'm tellin ya, I could FEEL my hips open up and her drop down lower each time I sat on it. Here's a GREAT website on getting your baby into the best position~

I'm ma firm believer in Castor oil, It worked with both of my pregnancies and it sent my SIL into labor a week early.
It may not work the first time you take it, so take again 4 hours later. but I would only do this if a) you want contractions simply to soften your cervix b)if you don't mind having BM's.
If your cervix isn't soft then I wouldn't bother trying.

BD'ing worked both times for us!

The walking right now is likely to help in that the baby often moves down because of it. Gravity, ya know ;)
The ball exercises are good, as mentioned, they open up the pelvic area.

From there....

Nipple stimulation and BDing.

I caution against castor oil. I understand several have used it with no ill effects, but I am just not comfortable with that method.
