All this talk about carriers has made me wonder - can I wear my toddler and my infant at the same time - one in the front (infant) and one in the back (toddler)? Is that even realistic? Sometimes for a quick walk when I'd rather not use the stroller I just wear little ds and walk with big ds - would I still be able to do this with 3? Has anyone ever tried this?
I know people can wear twins, but this would be different bec the babies are very different sizes/activity levels.

I have an ergo, a moby wrap and a baby bjorn carrier, if that matters...

Yes you totally can! I have a friend who just had a baby and she tandem wears. She puts her newborn in the moby on the front then puts her toddler on her back in a MT. It would be easiest to put baby on first in the wrap, then put your toddler on your back using your ergo.

Yeah I've seen it in many a picture, but not done it myself. As Eva said, I'd put the baby in front in a wrap then the toddler on back in an MT (or in your case, the Ergo) :)

LOL! I have to admit that the first thought that came to mind when I saw your thread was, "Ouch!" LOL. But if it's possible and you have the strength to carry both at the same time, you go girl! I guess I was just wincing at the thought of carring 40+ pounds of baby, hehe. I'm more of a double stroller gal for walks but if you can carry both babies at once, good for you. :D

I carried both of my twins a lot of the time. One in a back pack carrier and the other on my hip. It would have been great to have a set up like above! I found that the bigger they got, the stronger I got. ;) You can so do it! :D

I don't think the weight would be too bad. A newborn hardly weighs a thing, plus once all the weight is distributed across your body it will feel like your carrying a feather...lol. I don't think it would be much different to wearing your toddler while being pregnant. I'm already carrying an extra 15-20lbs of pregnancy here on my front, and with micah on my back I suppose you could call that tandem wearing lol. It's really not that much of a strain on the body, especially since carriers are designed to distribute weight quite well. Go for it! I'm gonna try it once baby is born, I can't wait to wrap a newborn again....sorry that's slightly off topic lol.

Thanks for the info and the pics! I am excited to try this, even though I have to wait until the fall.
