How are all our babies doing????

Eliya is 10 1/2 months old and acts more like a one year old. Oh.My.Goodness!!! She is so independant all of a sudden and wants to do everything by herself! It's nuts! I try to help her and she swats at my hands (with a smile) as if saying, "eh, Mah, I can do it..." She's too cute for words. She's also just about completely weaned herself, which I am very sad about but accept. :( She's walking a *lot* but still has to have her hands near things, as she gets nervous... but she *can* walk... she just *won't* do it alone. ;)

She self feeds really well and loves to eat off my plate as well. She loves to dance... all I have to do is start singing and she's immediately swaying, swinging back and forth and bouncing up and down. If you put music on, WATCH OUT! She really gets to movin', shakin' and groovin. She's a wild gal! ;)

She is babbling SOOO much all of a sudden now! She loves to chat it up with me when she's in her high chair and I'm cooking or cleaning. She loves to make sounds of all kinds. She's a super happy, smiley, giggly baby. I've never met such a happy baby. Honestly. Every time I look at her, I can't help but smile. I have a lot to be thankful for.

She and our cat, Chester, are great pals and get into lots of mischief together. ;) It's very cute to watch them playing together and chasing each other. She still only has her two, front, bottom teeth... the top ones are bulging more and more every day but haven't broken through yet. I'm in shock about that as well... I have never had a baby ten months old with only two teeth!

She and my eldest are great pals... she reaches for Emma, hugs Emma, and loves for emma to dance with her when there is music on. Li is also getting very close to DD #2, Helen... she was hugging on her just today. I just love seeing that. ::sigh::

Li is also a great sleeper... she loves to lay down for her naps and go to bed at night. She has a favorite Cabbage Patch baby doll and a Curious George monkey that she insists on sleeping with. It's not an option. ::snort:: She's too cute for words. :D Did I say that already???? ;)

I think that's about all on the *Li* front. I have some new pictures of her and of all the kids that I'll be posting this week~

But here's a new pic of her for this post~

Look at that sweet little girl. I LOVE HER LEGS...I just want to eat them!

Our Mak is 8+ months now. She is fully crawling and pulling herself up on EVERYTHING. She has quite the temper if you take something she wants to chew on away, but other than that, she is pretty happy. She loves to babble and make noises all the time, which are super cute. She is still very much a mommy's girl, but loves her daddy. She has two teeth now, and had a few days of biting, but that has pretty much stopped.....PTL!
We are still going strong with nursing. She really won't eat solids much. She does love avocados and sometimes fresh banana, but she won't eat much baby food or cereal.
She still goes down really well for naps and bedtime, which is a huge blessing, and usually either sleeps through the night or wakes only once to feed. That is a huge blessing to us!
I can't believe how much she looks like her daddy. I look at her and see SO much of him. What a blessing both my girls are.

I hope everyone elses babies are healthy and thriving!

Blessings,
Amber

p.s. when I upload new pics, I'll add one too!

Jen.. Li is precious! Look at those chubs!! So stinkin cute!!

Amber.. I can't wait to see a pic of Mak.. sounds like she's getting big. Azalia gets pretty upset when I take something from her too. Actually I have a heartbreaking picture of her pouting because I had just taken a piece of paper from her that she got a hold of. I was trying to devert her attention so I put this silly hat on her and Brooke and I were acting goofy trying to get her to laugh. Well it worked and she looked so cute with the hat on so I grabbed the camera.. in between shots she suddenly remembered why she had been crying again. So I got these:

The picture breaks my heart everytime I look at it, but at the same time its sooo cute, LOL.

Azalia is almost 8 months already.. wow! And other then trying to eat everything she gets her hands on shes doing great. She can stand by herself now but hasn't taken any first steps yet. I'm still soley breastfeeding and I think I'm going to wait until she has a few teeth before I start introducing solids. Yeah.. still no teeth, haha.
Here's another recent pic of her.

oH My, Those are some cute pics of Li and Azalia! Sometimes Abby has to take something away from Jo but she's really good about replacing it with another toy so he doesn't really cry.
Jo is 11 months or just shy of 11 months. He loves food and has eaten everything there is to eat and he likes most of everything. He still nurses about 4 to 5 times a day and I decided to just let him self wean! This kid is funny, let me tell ya! If he bumps his head and you laugh, he will bump his head again, just a little softer but he'll do it to make you laugh. He is so happy and he loves to laugh. I love watching how he just melts all the old people at church with his dimpled smiles!
Jo is crawling, and he crawls extremely fast! and he pulls himself up and can stand without holding on to anything, but he's just not ready to take those first steps. He'll walk if he is holding on to something, but I try to encourage him to take steps with out support and he just squats down and will crawl to you or he'll just fall straight forward.
Jo can say a few words, although Dada is his favorite. He says Mo for more (when he eats) He says Abba (for Abby) and Do (for Dog). He loves to sing and dance. he is so attracted to the piano and the guitar. Him and his big sister will hold microphones and sing with a sing a long dvd.
So that is about all I can think of for now. I'll update later with a pic!

here we are at the lake and Jo just had to eat some dirt. I figured "good for you, be a boy.... okay stop that's enough. ick"

Warrior is a year old now and quite a handful. Oh my! Going going going. All the time. He, too, loves to dance. He and Li would be something together Jen hehe During church he generally moseys up front a bit and starts dancing. We sit in the front two rows on one side..2 or 3 kids are generally in the row in front of me, so they help corral him. Which is a little bit more work now with the band set up on the floor instead of up on the stage. Yeah. He wants to run right in through the equipment :p He just runs and goes ALL the time. Exhausting!! But darn cute. teehee

He is STILL cutting teeth. I swear the child has been teething nonstop since 3 months. Argh! He has 4 on top and 2 on bottom, with the other two coming in on bottom. One just broke through so now we're working on the other. He's miserable. Poor kid.

But when he's not miserable, he's very happy and so funny. Lots of personality this one. Another Boo in that regard. Yeah, we're in big trouble. LOL

He loves to eat. He thinks he has to eat what everyone else eats. Oh a funny...he KNOWS when daddy's getting watermelon. Last night Brad went to the living room to get some...Warrior was nursing...he bolts off, hits the floor running, headed to the kitchen. Then proceeded to follow Brad everywhere, around the island in the kitchen and into the other room, hot on his tail. Then his way of asking is to nod his head 'yes yes' and make some cute sound, often a 'yum' kind of sound. Oh and he paces. Hilarious!! He will start stepping kind of side to side, getting all antsy...often a few steps backwards, then up again and side to side...he's totally pacing..waiting for a bite. And he will shove as much as he can into his mouth. Chipmunk style. It doesn't matter how much food he has in front of him, he is determined to shove it ALL in his mouth at once..then still whine for more, though he's not swallowed the first bite. LOL

He's a riot I'm tellin' ya. These kids...they just keep getting more fun! The first is fun, yeah, sure, but oh my goodness, each one just gets more fun than the previous.

He now says "cah" (car) and last night started saying "Cool" :p

Ok, I think that's about it. :)

Good morning,

Rebekah is now 7 months old! It's amazing how she changes nearly every single day. She has been teething for months now, but they still haven't come through the gums. I feel so bad for her; there are times when she's in terrible pain. We're both thankful for Tylenol and teething tablets!

She no longer needs assistance sitting up. As a matter of fact, this past week, she started reaching out by her toes for toys. Amazingly, she doesn't need any help returning to a sitting position. It's so nice; she can entertain herself even more now.

This next development was just amazing to DH and me. On Saturday, she showed no signs of crawling. On Sunday morning, she was regularly stretching her hands out in front of her and pulling 1 knee under her body. We can't believe how close she's getting. We're still doing some minor remodeling to the house we bought. We're now having to hurry up. We need to cover up the exposed wiring with the outlet covers and buy the plastic plugs.

I've very slowly been introducing solids. Due to my lack of time (working at home and moving), I haven't made any baby food. I've been buying stage 2 foods at the store. So far, the only things she didn't like were the boxed cereal (if it's a cereal mixed with fruit in a jar, she'll eat it) and the stage 1 meats (stage 2 don't bother her, though). DH and I have also given her mashed up food from our plates too. It's fun to watch her expression with the different textures!

Ooooo, this was big too! She can sign for milk and for daddy! Last night, she waved bye bye to some people at Subway! It's all so amazing! God is so amazing! Her babbles are becoming more "word-like" too. No actual words yet, though.

Ooooo, for those of you who knew about our rough newborn stage, you'll be glad to hear she's finally napping in her crib for 1.0 - 2.5 hours twice per day now (this, too, is a recent development)! It's still not predictable, but I'm enjoying it! I've shortened her sleep at night just a tiny bit to help, but I actually did it after she started napping. I think it just helped lengthen them.

Anyways, I'm going to attach a picture of her from 3 weeks ago. While we were moving, DH decided she needed to check out a box of packing peanuts. My favorite pictures of her show her studying new and different objects.

Meg'
I'm glad to hear that she is sleeping better. I know how it feels to think you're never gonna be able to get a decent night or couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep! Praise God!
She is such a cutie!

Esther,

Fortunately, Rebekah has slept through the night since she was 5 weeks old. Sometimes, if she's not ready to get up in the morning, you can just about forget it! There has only been 1 night she didn't sleep straight through, and it was the first night she experienced congestion (the spring pollen was unreal a few months back).

Rebekah, however, hasn't been a napper. There were days she'd sleep less than 1 hour during the day. She'd be miserable by bed time. Now, she's doing much better. She was down for 1.5 hours this morning, and she'll sleep on the way into town momentarily. I just love it! And she's even happier (even during her nap strikes, people would comment on how happy she was)!

Gotta run.

Megan

Love reading these updates! :D

Callum is 7 months. He has 3 teeth in and 2 more cutting through. So the massive drooling continues. (It drives dd crazy....she is constantly having fits because Callum "is going to dribble on ______" rofl )
He is starting to eat some table foods. ie. overcooked broccoli (teeny bites of course :) ) and mashed yams are his favs.
He is pulling himself up to stand when he holds our hands....he is always so proud of himself once he is standing! heehee. Adorable.
He is reaching for everything. He's at that stage where every time you turn around he is reaching further and further. lol
He LOVES his big brother more and more all the time. He loves his big sis too, but he and Liam have a really special bond. He positively lights up when Liam gives him attention.
Generally, he is just a really happy baby. He is finding his voice....and really enjoying experimenting with sounds. Especially when we're at church. lol (WHY do they do that?!?) When he is excited he makes this crazy noise when he is inhaling. lol. Ridiculous. But cute. :D

I don't have any current pics on the computer....I've hardly been home the last three weeks. I'll try to get something posted later in the week. :D

lol....I remember Liam doing it when he was this age too. So funny! Again, except when he decides to do it in the middle of church! [whatwacko]
