I don't remember having braxton hicks with josh, so I don't know what I am feeling. I have 3 different "sensations" at different times and I don't know if any or all are BH. so tell me what you think

1. menstrual cramping like the first few days of AF only in the lower abs.

2. A tightening without pain, that could just be baby moving in a weird position but I am not sure

3. in my back, my entire low/mid back that has "contraction" like qualities where there is a wave and peak that is so painful at the peak I have the breath through.

All of these sensations last a minute or less. SO what do you think?

Do these change or stop when you change activities or positions? or drink water? I am assuming they haven't gotten longer nor closer together (otherwise labour could be what you're looking at.) If so BH would be my idea. The menstrual feeling might be cervical changes. Make sure to drink lots of water because BH's pick up when we are dehydrated.

Have fun! :)

Well for me Bh are the tightening. My tummy gets really hard. Sometimes uncomfortable, but mostly pain free unless I keep having them over and over and then your muscles get plain worn out and it hurts more. Hmm.. I thought I read somewhere that pain in the back was a good sign of real labour. Can't remember. :-D You are getting close. Will pray for you. :-D

Back Pain
You have probably been suffering from a sore and aching back for a while now, but back pain is also a sign that you may be going into labor. If your lower back feels particularly achy than it could be a labor sign If you are in labor, this back pain should also increase in intensity. Back pain often comes along with symptoms similar to those you would get with you period. You may feel particularly crampy or premenstrual.

Keep us posted! Excited for you to meet your little one. :-D

probably are gearing up, at least I would guess. If movement stops them, I wouldn't worry, but you CAN'T tell me that's Josh in your avatar. NO WAY!

Good luck, tho!

Sounds like really early contractions to me. I had contractions for 2 or 3 weeks before I actually went into active labor, both times. So, I'd say it's normal even though it's painful! Get lots of rest and relaxation while you can. I wouldn't worry about going into real labor until they start getting close together and regular, or your water breaks or you lose your mucus plug, something like that. Or the baby coming out, LOL, now THAT'S a sure sign of labor.
