hehehe

I'll yak about it, but I haven't much to yak about. I'm not a diaper junky. I have used very few brands. I'm content with my Mother Ease one sized dipes. They've served me well since the beginning...6 years ago, with ds #2.

I've used Sweet Peas, Molly Togs, Laurie Loo's (I think that's what they were) and a couple others here and there, whose names I cannot recall. Oh Poochies (sweet!) and..whatever..I would get 1 dipe from somebody. The only ones I bought in 'bulk' were ME, Molly Togs and Laurie Loos...and chinese prefolds.

Not adventurous in covers either..
Standing by my Mother Ease Air Flow snaps for my fitteds and Bummi Super Industrial Whisper Wraps for prefolds.
I have a couple Bunny Hugs covers, cute, but their performance is less than impressive.
And some very used, second hand DiaperWraps (if I recall correctly), ver *not* cute LOL But work quite well. Even as used as they are ;)

And that's my cloth diapering journey in a nutshell :D

Hey Tara,

You know the funny thing is that I have never hear of some of those :D

I have gotten alot of my diapers second hand off of www.diaperswappers.com

I have Bumkins aio's, Mypreciousbabybyapril.com pocket diapers, a few Happy Heineys, some fb's, and bum genius which are a one size that I love with a suede liner. I have a couple of Swaddlebees. But I find those to not be good if you are expecting a poo.

I uses mostly Pockets though. I wish I had more aio's

If i am blessed enough to get more aio's I may donate some of my pockets to

www.miraclediapers.org

Oh there are sooooo many I haven't heard of...been out of that loop for a while. Found what works for us and that's it hehe
Times have changed (I sound like a great gramma here or something LOL) What was *in* when I started are has beens and many not even around anymore. What's *in* now, weren't even begun back when I started.
Funny isn't it?

I have heard of Happy Heinys though ;) Not used 'em, but have heard the name.
I've not even looked on a board for diapers in so long....
I know of Fuzzi Bunz :) That gets me points..right? teehee

I have some other pocket dipe. I don't like it much. I had one AIO, didn't like it either...but, it was some lesser quality 'no name' kind of thing too.

But hey, my Mother Ease are still around ;) They're not a WAHM company though...sorry..I tried to give some of them my business (the molly togs and laurie loos were), but I just can't afford them. ME fits my budget.

We bought fuzzi bunz... i was really annoyed because they were leaking all over the place... but found out that was because 1) katherine wasn't quite big enough for medium size yet, and 2) we had hard water so the detergent wasn't getting all out... so repelling fleece...

so now she's bigger, so they fit better, and i make sure to rinse extra well (sometimes with a little baking soda)... no leaks anymore!! woohoo!! i was ready to ditch them for awhile there. They still leak at night if i don't change her at least once (she oversoaks them), but it's a LOT better than it was at first... washing them is becoming less of a burden and more of a routine now... at first it was like HOW Many extra loads of laundry a week? LOL but it's not even as much of a bother as regular laundry since no hanging/folding to do... just stuffing. Yeah i like it!

That said I probably wouldn't CD if I wasn't a SAHM. I feel so blessed to be able to be home with my child, and have the time to do the extra laundry etc...

Plus I can match the fuzzi bunz to her outfits... color coordinated diapers yeah!! LOL

Waaaah, I'm so jealous  ! I miss my cloth diapers!! We've been without a washer for 2 months while our landlord is renovating, so we've been having to go to the laundrymat; washing ds' diapers there gave him the worst rash so we had to switch to 'sposies in the meantime   . Okay, I feel better now :D

we're boring here, too. We use Fuzzi Bunz and Wonderoos *the nice ones before they got switched to China production and the elastic was poor quality, sizing all over the place...

When Bobert was an infant I did CPF's, fitteds, and covers, I had proraps, wool, and vinyl pants. DH only uses pocket dipes w/ snaps so we just do that now.

so, currently we have Bobert in Wonderoos
Willie is in FBs large.

You know I seem to be having a few hard water issues and issues with that front loading washer. Using less soap but the dipes arent quite the same right now unless it is right after I has stripped them. I am trying alot of extra rinses.

I have mostly prefolds and Fuzzi Bunz. I have a dozen cpf's and I also have some Gerber prefolds that someone gave me as a gift. Surprisingly they actually work fine for my daughter. I use Bumkins AIO's for nighttime with extra layers of absorbency. And I've recently started learning to sew my own fitteds. They aren't perfect yet, but I'm going to keep tweaking them. And I have a load of used covers, some diaperaps, a Bummis, Gerber velcro attaching covers, some proraps, a Stacinator.

Also, I have a couple of Wonderoos but I really like Fuzzi Bunz better. Less hassle with size adjustment. I'm looking forward to when Hannah hits size medium in FB's because I have more FB's in Medium than in Small.

I havent been able to do nighttime cloth yet because we are a real super soaker. I usually have to change him by 2am or he will be cold and wet even with a sposie. But the bumkins or bum genius would be a good option for that.[/quote]

I guess we have a little of everything--a few pockets, a few fitteds, and prefolds. The only thing that didn't work for us was velcro pocket diapers when he was little because he had the skinniest little baby legs I've ever seen. The Fuzzibunz have always been good for us since we can adjust the legs and waist separately. I loved prefolds when he was young but am liking them less as he gets older, more mobile, and more impatient. And the pocket diapers don't hold much pee these days. (DS is on a liquid diet and pees A LOT!) I'm planning to do this with most of them: http://www.diapersewing.com/prefold_to_fitted.htm For covers, we LOVE Dappi nylon covers--trim, soft, waterproof, and less than $3/cover.

For nighttime, we use 2 premium prefolds. Bulky but it's the best combination we've found. If someone has a suggestion for a SUPER absorbant inexpensive cloth nighttime solution, I'd love to hear it. So far nothing I've tried can compare with the prefolds. (Keep in mind that some nights ds can drink 10 bottles. I'm not expecting anything to hold that, but if it can last on nights when he drinks less, I'm all for it! :) )

The most absorbant I have heard of are Very baby Simply Nights, Pee-Wells and Dream-eze (sp?), but alas they are waaaay out of our budget so we double up on prefolds too :)
