ants in their wipe warmer?!? I can't get rid of them! there isn't a ton but probably around 10-30. I thought they liked the warmth, so I unpluged it, but it hasn't helped. I moved the changing table but that didn't fix it. I use cloth wipes and my own solution of Dr bronners soap, tea tree oil and lavender oil. I thought the tea tree would deter them but nope. Anyone have this issue? or have an idea to fix it? I don't want to put an ant trap on my changing table because of obvious reasons.

t's not the warmth it's the moisture. try sprinkling paprika around the warmer and it would also help if you found were they were coming from. If so you can sprinkle a line of paprika in the crack of the wall on the floor. good luck.

they are everywhere. We just moved in here about 2 months ago, and they are better then when we arrived but still everywhere. I am always picking them off of me, Josh ect. I HATE them. The weather we have here it is worse during the rain (which is now) and in our summer not as bad....but I just HATE them especially on our beds and in our warmer. I will try the paprika idea...I was told cinnamon works too but it didn't.

I heard that white vinegar works if you spray it and use it to clean/wipe surfaces. I have not tested this myself as I don't have an ant problem but it won't hurt anything and it's non-toxic so... worth a shot?

Oh yes... like Esther said... it's the moisture.... Ants love water! (I observe them very closely as much as I can... yes I am weird) ... so I guess you could try to put a little something with water... probably a little cup or something... put it close to it... And I am sure the ants will all go there... that's all I can think of.... I don't know about the paprika or that... I mean... I am not giving you a solution to get rid of them... but it might work to at least keep them away from the wipe warmer... I guess?
Hugs!
Paloma.
You may want to consider also an outside defense... something natural or something potent like diaznon sprinkled around the outside of your home.
we have an eco friendly pesticide company near us... worth looking into if it's in your budget.

from what I can find from my research we have pharaoh ants which actually nest inside. I can follow them on their trail and they are definitely in the walls and not outside, I think I have A LOT of nests.
