hi.. is it normal for female babies to have swollen breast?? like you can feel a little lump under their breast??? McKenna has that, but the lump on the right side is much larger than the other, almost the size of a dime.... of course I am worried its like cancer tumor lump.!!!

I can't remember what its called .. but I think its caused by hormones. My ds had them, they were very small not the size of a dime. Maybe get it checked out on your next visit to the ped.. I don't think it abnormal though.

i have heard of that also - i think it is bec of hormones from the mommy's body that have to work their way out of the baby's body after they are born?

Yes - I agree with these ladies. I've heard it's normal as the baby is adjusting to life outside their mommies womb. It is from your body's hormones I believe.
It's called maternal hormone transfer isn't it???
Yeah, just mention it to your health practitioner

It is perfectly normal and it is from mom's hormones. Sometimes babies will even produce a little milk like subtance. :)

My DD had this so bad that she was pretty engorged. Dh made fun saying that I was upset because DD had more milk than I did....since I had a super hard time with my milk supply...but it was out of love...LOL!
DD even had some milk come out....I felt soooo bad for her, it had to have hurt, but eventually it went away!

ok thanks guys i did yahoo that and found it was ok, thanks She goes to the drs today anyways so I will get her to look at it. thanks
 Wow I'd heard that they could have little lumps from mommys hormones but I'd never heard about the milk! That's freaky.
I remember my mum telling me to not freak out if I saw a little blood in babies diapers as it was from my hormones.
Perhaps the lumps are like plugged ducts? Just thinking....

yeah, it's very normal...Maddy had it very little...she didn't have milk or anything...but she did have spot bleeding...kinda like a period....only VERY lightly. I was told before she was born that it could happen...so it wasn't a super huge scare for me. It's so interesting how our bodies work!
