View Full Version : Britax Boulevard Sale
PianoMama 04-09-2009, 07:59 AM Good morning, Ladies! Just wanted to share a good sale I found late last night.
Amazon is selling the Britax 2008 Boulevard Madison seat for $215.40. Original price (supposedly!) is $349.99. Even the other colors of this same seat are selling for original price.
Keep in mind this is a 2008 seat and therefore you will get a shorter use out of it. BUT, I ordered one last night! My first Britax! woohoo!
Just wanted to share incase anyone needs a new seat!

~Tara~ 04-09-2009, 10:05 AM Still a good deal. Just divide the price by **5** yr use ... it still makes sense eh? I can't wait to see pics of Shae in her new seat :)
PianoMama 04-09-2009, 10:55 AM hehe - I can't wait to get it! and actually, when I purchased it last night, it was $211...The print is pink and yellow with flowers. Not too keen on the yellow because it's light colored and we tend to eat in our car a bit, but...we'll just bring water in the car. Now I have to wait for the seat to come! ahhhh...not supposed to even ship until 4-13. But, we shall see...Amazon has been amazing in the past with getting things here before they were even supposed to ship. ;-)
I think your excitement for carseats is rubbing off, Tara...
~Tara~ 04-09-2009, 11:12 AM teehee Woohoo!
I like that cover too. Though, I also like the Shannon :p
I just like lots of girly covers because I've never managed to get one LOL
PianoMama 04-09-2009, 11:52 AM is the Shannon the purple one? I like that one too...I was so hesitant to get a girlie seat...what if I need it for a boy in the future? even to help someone out that needs a ride or something?!?! oh well, the $ale won me over! I'll take pics when it gets here. :-)
~Tara~ 04-09-2009, 12:27 PM yeah, shannon = purple *swoon*
I would have had the Blush Recaro if it were available when I bought. But her second choice was Crimson and it was in stock...so...once again, no girly.
I almost bought girly when we got the Radian but decided to stick w/neutral...good thing as Boo is in it now. I would have had to buy another harnessed seat this past month and then still a booster in a year...with 6 yr still left on the girly Radian. This girl just was not meant to have a girly seat LOL Good thing she doesn't care :p
PianoMama 04-11-2009, 08:45 PM got the seat today!!!! immediately dh and I look for the date...and look, and look and look! geesh! it was hard to find. dh finds it finally and comes to tell me what it is:
3/24/09
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:-)
I'm a happy mama!!
~Tara~ 04-13-2009, 01:49 PM Sweet!! :D
PianoMama 04-13-2009, 03:47 PM well, my bubble is deflated a bit...the height max is supposedly 49". If Shaelyn is at all like Trevor (which of course there is no guarantee), she will max out the height before the expiration date. We'll see...
~Tara~ 04-13-2009, 05:19 PM Remember that the 'max height' is a general guideline. As long as her ears are below the top of the shell (forward facing) and the straps are at or above her shoulders, she's ok. Kids carry height differently. It's that torso measurement you have to watch. :) Did that reinflate your bubble a bit? :p
PianoMama 04-13-2009, 05:45 PM yeah, that does help the, ahem, *health* of my bubble! So the 1" below the top of the seat is RF only? and the ears things is for FF then?
OT, remember the discussions that I was having with dh about the safety of using a certain seat in his car, etc? Well, he's finally agreed to get the Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 for ds to use in his car after we get our tax return! Now I just have to hope that the crotch strap is long enough...that seems like the biggest issue in the product reviews. :-)
~Tara~ 04-13-2009, 05:52 PM Right. 1" of shell above head for rear facing. And tops of ears to top of shell and harness still at or above shoulders for FF.
Glad to hear you're getting a Nautilus too :) *Hopefully* the crotch strap will be fine. Speaking of which, reminds me, I need to move the one on Warrior's Radian, I do believe. (sorry, a sort of said out loud mental note there :p )
PianoMama 04-13-2009, 05:53 PM ds has been ok so far with the CS on the Radian...it is on the furthest setting, but at least they sell a longer one if we need it. I don't think Graco sells a longer one yet...
~Tara~ 04-13-2009, 06:04 PM Yeah, that was my first thought "shoot, Graco doesn't do a longer one, bummer"
I still have the short/original one on Warrior's seat. But I think I need to move it. I have to check my manual, I forget if it can kind of come out from under him while rf. I also have the longer strap for later as I imagine I'll use it. I ordered it with the seat because I had already replaced the strap on our first Radian. Miss Chunky monkey needed more room for her chunks :p
