I have been looking for my (ex) step mother and I just got an e-mail from her at Classmates.com, and now I'm so nervous....excited....scared..

Not sure what to think, she didn't know me, cause of my married name...

Yeah, we were realy close I was eight when they married, and she was like my mom till I was 14, cause I only got to see my mom a couple days a week....bad custody agreement.....I haven't seen or heard from her since then.....she was the one who took me to Church when I was a kid, no one else in my family went....so I am so grateful most of all for that..don't know what my life would have been like otherwise, and don't want to know....dd

Dede, how wonderful. I read in another post you were looking for her wow that was a quick find, that's great. Your nerves are more than understandable, prayers for you.

Thanks so much, she called me this morning....it's was odd of course, been 28yrs, and we have different values....but I'm hopeful for the future, at least I got to say Thank you, and that was the main thing I have felt that I need to do, it was a difficult time for her (then) but she made it wonderful for me, and I still do some of the same things with my kids...so guess we'll see......ironic....she lives in the same town in CA that we moved to KS from...she moved there soon after we left....dd

That's great you got to talk! Do you have plans to continue contact? That's neat though, I have to check something like that out for a lost long time friend from my childhood.

Hi sent her some pictures of the kids, and she is going to post some pictures on the internet so I can look at them, I'm not very good at this internet stuff though, so I had to send them snail mail.....thanks for asking...good luck....dd
