Site of the Month: Compassion.com
This past year I finally got around to doing something I've wanted to do since before I could formulate a sentence this long. If you are like me, you've *always wanted* to do this too. Perhaps you have! Perhaps you shrugged it off, "at some point.. later on." Perhaps you've thought "well, what if *this or that* happens and we can't afford 28 dollars per month!" Or perhaps, like me, you have a knack for procrastination!
I urge you to follow up on the desire God has placed in your heart this holiday season! You can find a child to sponsor on the Compassion site at http://www.compassion.com/. This experience will be life changing, and it will give you and your entire family more awareness of the great amount of compassion needed globally, and connection and love to and from someone who is, seemingly, living in a different world. Most importantly, it will give a child the resources to thrive!
Our little girl lives in Kenya. Her name is Silantoi. If you sponsor a child, I'd love to hear about it! We will be running a sponsorship awareness campaign next year. Send a picture of your sponsored child (from any ORG) and his or her first name, to see him or her on the front page of Christian-Mommies.com to help spread the word on sponsorship. Include your sponsorship story if you'd like! The first 30 pictures & stories sent to C'Moms will be featured on the C'moms home page!
